The logic of the new Harry Potter series doesn’t make sense to me. And no I’m not referring to the choice of actors.
My youngest (11) loves HP and even he pointed out how dumb it is.
Each movie/book has now been broken down into what will probably be 8-10 episodes, meaning they’re hoping for 8 seasons.
But my kid just asked, “Why would I spend 10 weeks watching the series if I can just watch the movie in 2 hours? I could watch one movie a day and be done faster.”
I mean, you already know what happens in The Godfather, so who tf would watch it as a series that tells the exact same story just with different actors?

I’d like to remind you of Shiloh Hendrix, and how the right passionately supported a white woman calling a black kid the N word, because of what they called “black fatigue.”
I also seem to recall very little right wing support for Black Lives Matter. Something about “All Lives Matter,” if I remember correctly.
Where is the outrage towards anti-white activism now? Is it suddenly morally acceptable as long as a black person is mocking a white woman who lost her husband? Not only that, but specifically mocking her for trying to honor her dead husband’s legacy by continuing his life’s work?
The double standard here is going to eat the right alive. Especially if the left is able to figure out how to leverage it. A colorblind society where racial humor is allowed is ideally the right way to go. I’m not at all saying that this type of comedy should be stigmatized, as that is not my personal belief.
What I’m pointing out here is that anyone on the right reacting positively to this is being extremely inconsistent with their beliefs in a way that reveals a pretty serious underlying problem.

The Sphinx we know has been exposed for thousands of years of wind erosion, water damage, vandalism, military target practice, and multiple restorations.
The nose is gone. The body is weathered beyond recognition in places.
The head is disproportionately small compared to the body, which many researchers believe suggests it was recarved from something larger and older.
A buried twin may have none of that.
No erosion. No reshaping. No political restorations. Just the original form, exactly as it was built, sealed under sand.
We might finally see what the head originally looked like. We might see inscriptions or surface details that weathered off the original thousands of years ago.
We might get answers to questions the exposed Sphinx can no longer give us.
What if the best preserved monument in Egypt is the one nobody knew existed?

Apparently, The X Files television series was based on real files stolen from an FBI agent. Whether that’s actually true or not, I don’t know. But I find it interesting how they portray the UFO phenomenon, especially in the episode Jose Chung's From Outer Space.
They show us how Air Force officers dress up as aliens and fly around in an advanced craft to keep the public confused. They also show us how the military abducts people and brainwashes them into believing they were taken to other planets or even inside the earth.
These brainwashed abductees then create cults and discredit UFO research. Nevertheless, by the end of the episode, it’s revealed that government agents got their advanced craft from real aliens who really abducted them. Yet, all this info is compartmentalized. So, the viewer still wonders what’s really true. Is it hoaxes all the way down?

Oh I think it is going to be hilarious when the story backfires on itself because they wanted to spring for woke-points. A black teacher who lusted/loved a white girl, bullied by a white dude in their youth who married said white girl, who then had a white son, the parents of whom were killed by a white dude the black teacher served out of hatred/lust for power, who the black teacher then bullies relentlessly during school. A black teacher whom the white son finds suspicious purely out of instinct and grows a stunning hatred for through mistreatment. Bravo HBO, fucking bravo.
