Manchester United have played this brilliantly with Elliot Anderson. It is apparent they had moved on from him for a while once they knew the ridiculous asking price, but have stayed in it long enough to force City into paying full freight & break the transfer record for him anyway.
Better yet, Marinakis could go completely insane, rejects all bids & then draws it out so he ends up staying at Forest. Now United just have to go finish the job by finding far better value in the market, sign Mateus Fernandes & make their money stretch far better than this deal.
Comes a point where the juice isn’t worth the squeeze & we are well past that.

Oliver Glasner has reportedly decided to leave Crystal Palace after realising the owners are more focused on selling their best players than building a competitive team.
Will he really cope in that environment?
The man should have stayed at Lens. The last coach who moved from a French club (Strasbourg) to England [Chelsea] got sacked after just a few months in charge.

@utdHarryy Ok yeah I agree, but like as depth id take him for 25-35. Very solid player and I think its more an environment issue at spurs then anything. Plus seemingly gotten over his injury issues. (Better player than Maguire who can’t defend outside his box)

Otherwise, I’m dropping down to a lower price bracket and getting 2 signings for that price. £25-35m still can get you a competent full back. It doesn’t get you a great winger though…

👍 Truffert’s a brilliant player in the right conditions. High intensity, constant running/overlaps without having to rely on technical ability. In a slower, more methodical system where he’d constantly be relied upon to create by either beating his man 1v1 or putting in a pinpoint cross he’d be way less impactful. This is why Hall is a must sign, he’s a unicorn that can thrive in any condition/system
