I've never listened to a podcast for more than 3 or 4 minutes. I don't have the patience to listen to people ramble on while I wait for them to talk about something I might be interested in. I'm not sure there's ever been a less efficient way to transmit information.

I was thinking the same. “Fast” food is painful. I’ve walked in and employees actually left the counter to hide with the kitchen staff and it was an open kitchen. Or if they do stay at the counter they stare and the customer has to talk first. I haven’t heard “How can I help you” or “What would you like to order” ever since the pandemic. I just don’t understand how managers or owners don’t train basic concepts of customer service to employees

They refuse to hold a real vote because they know the outcome: when forced to choose, they will side with their sponsors, not their constituents. They don't have a clear conscience on this. That is the most disgusting part of all.
