A sign of emotional intelligence is moving from “You made me feel” to “This is how I reacted.” Our emotions aren’t caused by other people’s actions. They’re shaped by our interpretations. Blaming others gives them power over our feelings. Taking responsibility empowers us.

In the short Daily Bolster with @MaxYoder a couple weeks ago, we talked about the importance of self-care and self-compassion for founders. Today, we go in deep with Max to talk about self-reflection. Thanks so much for your thoughtful advice and insights, Max!

Self-compassion > self-criticism I used to believe conflict = dysfunction, now I believe conflict = information Rest is hard to come by in a culture that’s addicted to stimulation, but I can’t flourish without it From a convo with @mattblumberg podcast.bolster.com/public/142/The…

The importance of having a lot of grace as a leader is central to @MaxYoder's philosophy - both to others and to yourself as a founder. Max is a phenomenal founder, and Lesson.ly was a great success story. Listen to our quick chat on The Daily Bolster here.

@jebbanner @MaxYoder Woah - tried it with a recurring dream I used to have in childhood... the only dream I really remember ever having... I think knowing a bit about my past, you may also find this to feel wildly accurate... decodr.me/dream/S0PPsl

I've been working on a side project with @MaxYoder and another buddy. It's AI-powered dream interpretation. Decodr. Included Jungian and Freudian interpretations. Very beta but I have found it very helpful personally. Feel free to check it out! Decodr.me

I had a dream last night that @MaxYoder and I were doing an investment pitch to a group led by the late ABC News anchor Peter Jennings. Mr. Jennings ripped me to shreds, and Max just shook his head in disappointment. Possibly the weirdest dream I've ever had.

Jeremy A Williams @jeremyawilliams: Threads
I just wrapped up book #2 of the year: @MaxYoder’s “To See It, Be It”. Lots of good stuff in there, but I loved pages 58-59. It’s a great reminder, especially when we’re all still dealing with *gestures broadly* everything.
