@TKKuegler Oh I don’t think fixing all laurel is required. A full tear down….then you need a building that fits 1k people at both locations. Temp seating and tents for Maryland million etc
Paying for empty buildings is a waste of $.

@Neusbaum04 Just a small item to demonstrate, Laurel actually needs way more work on it than Pimlico. Way more expensive to fix that than you may think.

I think Maryland/the Mid-Atlantic circuit has every chance in the world to be the 2nd best racing/breeding region in the country in the next 10 years.

Maryland has put a pause on the purchase of Laurel. We need them to look elsewhere (Sagamore) for a better deal for our new training center (and get a refund on Shamrock).

Feel terrible for the good people in Maryland @Preakness. The fact that the Belmont has been run at less than 1 1/2 miles 4 of the last 7 years hurts the Preakness just as much as the spacing.

Thank you Bryan for simply saying what’s been hard for many of us to admit. It worries me Maryland has now risked its entire thoroughbred industry to prop 1 race that simply doesn’t seem to be holding its importance in the calendar.

@j96198 @NeverSettleTV @preakness Yes all aware but that doesn’t change my statement. 1st has been “Maryland” racing for many years now and CD doesn’t get to run the event from what I read. MJC already hired a company to run the event. No guarantee MJC would make the event successful again either
