An audio problem prevented the national anthem from being played prior to the Ohio high school game between Waverly and Portsmouth West Friday night. Trenton Brown stepped up and performed it a cappella.

Birth to age 10 is an eternity. 11 to 20 also takes forever. 20 to 30 sneaks up on you a little bit. 30 to 40 picks up some steam, and 40 to 50 glides by. 50 to 60 appears so far to have a jet engine.

It was set 31 years in the past, in 1962, and that seemed like a prehistoric time when the movie came out. It has now been 33 years since then. 😟

@cammillerfilms I watched this game on YouTube last week.😄 Phillies went up 3-0 in top of the first but Reds won 7-4. After the hype and hope brought on by the memorable 1985 season, this Reds team started 6-19.☹️ Still managed to go 86-76 but ‘85, ‘86, ‘87, and ‘88 will forever be what-ifs.

Starting in 2000 Bengals new equipment manager at the time Rob Recker switched from decals to painted stripes for the helmets. They had been using decals for many years prior to that. This is what the decal sheet looked like. They switched because the decals were labor intensive to apply and would damage easily.

Anyone else notice how much the use of vulgarity has gone mainstream? Yet another marker of our cultural decline.
