Guys, I know this will attract trolls, but I’m actually genuinely asking. My 86yo father who is not in great health wants to go to Orlando to see his 84yo brother who is in really bad health, probably for the last time. A multi-day road trip would be too much wear and tear for my dad. I cannot afford private flying. Anybody got recommendations on navigating an 86yo through multiple airports when he can’t walk great? Like, how do people get the wheel chair assistance and can they wheel him through to a rental car etc? And how do you handle an intermediate airport a we’d probably have to go Baton Rouge to Atlanta to Orlando. Never done this and old age can suck. And yes, this would be a reunion between Erick and Lief Erickson. May the Vikings rise again.

@notjasond100 Why shouldn't adult children pay rent when they live at home and are working? They use the heat, the electricity, the water, the phone, the cable. None of that is free. They're not children anymore and should contribute to the household. I did when I was in my 20's.

Unpopular opinion, but I honestly don’t see myself buying a house in Canada 🇨🇦 I’m 42 now. Taking a massive mortgage at this age just doesn’t feel viable to me anymore. If I was in my 20s or even early 30s, maybe. Even with almost 50% down payment available, I’d still rather rent and keep my flexibility, peace of mind and liquidity. Owning a home here is not the only definition of success, but the maintenance, property tax, interest payments and long-term debt can mentally drain someone. Would you buy or continue renting in Canada?👀

Crazy how many non Muslims genuinely believe Muslims can never live peacefully with them. They see Muslims as a threat to their safety, their communities, even their existence. And honestly? Before Muslims get angry, ask yourself why that fear exists in the first place. When some Muslims openly justify violence, celebrate extremists, threaten critics, force religion on others, and then scream “this is Islam” … what exactly do you expect non Muslims to think? You can’t spend years allowing the loudest and most dangerous voices to represent Islam, then act shocked when the world becomes afraid of Muslims. The biggest damage to Islam today is not coming from outsiders. It’s coming from Muslims who turn the religion into a symbol of fear instead of peace.

Just so you know. Boomers didn't have fast food. Except fish and chips. Boomers didn't have ready meals. Except Vesta beef curry. Look it up. Boomers didn't have colour TVs, front loading washing machines, central heating or holidays abroad. Boomers didn't have babymoons or baby showers nor did they go on stag or hen weekends. Boomers didn't go to restaurants. Except on birthdays. Boomers didn't have new clothes every year, every season. They made do and mended. But Boomers had a fabulous time in the 1960s to 1980s because people were friendly, respectful, dignified and hardworking. Boomers also had law and order and a judiciary who punished ALL criminals. Boomers were happy with their lot. Yes. I'm a Boomer. Just so you know.
