Would you say that the government, in general, is more incompetent, or more malicious?

Pretty much all of the prominent voices who supported the Iran War assured us it would be over by now. None of them will admit they were wrong. Even less will they admit that their initial assurances were based on nothing but their own wishcasting. This whole shitshow has been an enormous waste of time and resources and our country has not benefited from it at all. Its advocates have moved the goal posts repeatedly and have even to this day refused to clearly articulate what constitutes a victory and how we’ll know that it’s been achieved.

@ajykumar2 This is true, however, as Sowell notes in Basic Economics, there is also an inverse of this as well. As companies grow they do other things less efficiently. This allows small firms to outcompete large firms.

@ProjectLibertar In a pure capitalist economy, economies of scale naturally create large corporations that deliver higher-quality products at lower prices.

@demsocjohnbrown The capitalist class is not exploitative. They produce their wealth, and use their inherited wealth to produce more. The state just extracts.

@ProjectLibertar Right, like I said, the “non-productive class” who inherit their wealth from others and exploit labor. Who do you think runs, controls and makes up the government? Certainly not normal people.

Marx would have been an Ancap. He got all the mechanisms wrong, attacking the bourgeoisie instead of the non-productive class, and we still suffer from his economic misconceptions today.
