I know I said I don’t like to take sides on infighting but the bizarre aversion to pragmatism in the libertarian movement is something we really have to leave behind. That’s my one side I’m going to take.

@SocRepProject Like i said, I held similar views because of the colloquial definition of pragmatism, but in philosophical terms its not, its practicalism.

Leftist "anarchists" fundamentally view being rich as a bad thing. they would rather live in a world with little inequality and immense poverty than a world with a little poverty and immense inequality.
The free market won't eat the rich, it creates them, which is good.

@ProjectAncap Not through cohercion means having to pay for essential services that mean life and death? Like food or medication? And dont forget that the biggests fortunes in the world are built upon pure speculative markets stocks. Literal no material use for anybody but fancier gambling

@anarchoreasoni1 There is no "State Capitalism".
Theres socialism, corporatism, fascism etc.
The free market also wouldn't do anything to the rich, it would be a lack of IP and subsidies and bailouts that would bring them into competition, any business that fails will be replaced by a better one.

@ProjectAncap If your referring to the status quo of state capitalism we live under, yes, the free market would eat the current rich alive without their precious IP laws, state subsidies ect

@Gladell68 To profit and be rich under Capitalism is the most moral thing you can do, as it means you provided a good or service which was enjoyed by many of your fellow man.
Capitalism is the most moral system because goods & services are exchanged voluntarily, not through coercion.

Being rich is inherently inmoral because it represents the stolen time and labor value of millions of workers. No wealth that huge can represent a real ammount of work put into it.

@zero64bell I've been diving deeper into Capital theory recently and i believe with ancap having proper interest rates and time preference you'd see more larger capital investments being made and for longer periods of time.
