Igor Tudor has left Tottenham Hotspur. The old “mutual agreement”. Spurs had to act. Tudor was clearly out of his depth; his team selection and decision-making against Nottingham Forest was disastrous in a game Spurs urgently needed to win but lost badly. Tudor deserves sympathy and sensitivity because of the sad news of his father’s passing. And Tudor is only partly culpable for Spurs' slide towards relegation. Whoever is in the dug-out has to deal with... 1) a recruitment policy that has led to a squad with too few leaders (the captain gets banned) or responsibility-takers, beyond a few gems like Archie Gray. 2) a chronic injury list compounding squad deficiencies. 3) individual mistakes by players through lack of concentration and application. 4) a lack of direction from the owners and board. From dug-out to dressing-room to board-room, Spurs need stronger leadership. #THFC

Most people fail… not because they’re not capable, but because they never actually start. So we wanted to make it simple. Day 1: 1 squat 1 press-up 1 sit-up Day 2: 2 of each And just keep adding one each day. That’s it. #add1rep

#THFC have serious quality within the academy but frustratingly we NEVER choose to give them any game time with the first team. 🤷‍♂️ Look at Rio Ngumoha at Liverpool, Max Dowman at Arsenal, if you give these youngsters a chance, they can shine! ✨

Thank you for your support. It really means a lot and brings a lot of warmth to us.

Please all follow these poor let down parents and families of the victims of #ValdoCalocane the Nottingham Attacker. They're all doing a sterling job highlighting the shocking revelations from the #NottinghamAttacks hearing. How they do this, attend the hearings with such dignity without just losing their cool I don’t know. Absolute systemic failures in dealing with the incident, the aftermath and communication with the families. Shocking. Please follow @MrsEmmaWebber @drsanjoykumar @coatesaholic

@Mrjamieohara1 It's tricky cos they have to be credible and not not just cone in swinging it about....they don't have to strike fear into the players just get a bit of belief flowing

OUR OWNERS MUST READ THE ROOM A do and don’t list shouldn’t even be listed to them, they are supposed to be professionals. But here we are DON’T • Hire Arsenals former CEO as Spurs CEO • Hire someone who failed as Sporting director of Aston Villa as the Spurs Sporting director • Hire managers with no proven track record in the Premier League while we are in a relegation dog fight • Hire or even attempt to hire managers who’s name are Adolf Hitter • Don’t let generational players or hot prospects for the future leave the club • Don’t let the best stadium in the world get to the point where it’s soulless • Don’t let away teams have the best changing room facilities in the world DO’S • Hire a CEO who is not only competent but loves the club he works for • Hire a sporting director who’s highly regarded for bringing in the best players • Increase the wage structure and transfer fees for players simultaneously • All you can by working with fan groups to make the stadium as intimidating as it can be • Communicate to fullest extent with the fans both in good and bad times • The best in your ability to bring in a manager who fits the DNA of the club • Read and learn the clubs motto until you put it into action SIMPLE AS THIS 👆🏻“LEWIS FAMILY”

The importance of learning. Fascinating listening to Lewis Hall speaking after England training at St George’s Park. Hall spoke at length about his hunger to learn and develop. Newcastle United left-back has learned from recent experiences, good and bad, playing against elite wide players like Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal in the last 16 of the Champions League. Hall did well against Yamal in the drawn first leg at St James’ Park, although the Spanish international converted a late pen. Hall: “I was very pleased the way I performed. I'd say the same in the second leg for the first half, I was reasonably happy.” Yamal showed his threat just before half-time and then ran riot in the second half. “These players are the best players in the world. Sometimes they can't necessarily be at their level for the full 90 minutes, but even when they’re not at their best, they show their quality in moments throughout the game. He’s someone when the team is not doing well he can change the scoreline by himself. He's definitely a special player.” As well as Yamal, Hall has faced Antoine Semenyo, Bryan Mbeumo and Mo Salah in recent weeks, continuing his education. “You've got to test yourself against the best. I went through a short time-frame where I've had a lot of games playing against the top players in the world. It’s a difficult challenge, but I wanted that challenge. It's been a learning curve.” He learned breaking through at Chelsea, especially from senior pros like Thiago Silva. “Although he didn't necessarily speak much English, he was so good to me. He always wanted to help me improve. He was playing a lot of games at the time and still taking time on the training pitch to help me. I’m really grateful.” Eddie Howe has been an important teacher at Newcastle. “He's been a massive help for me. He’s done so much to help me be in the position I am now. He's helped me a lot off the pitch in ways to be around the training ground, and how to interact with all the lads. And then on the pitch, he’s showed a lot of belief in me, and taught me a lot about the defensive side of my game, which was the main area I needed to improve when I first joined. He spent a lot of time staying behind after training, working with me. I'm always grateful for that. Top coach.” #CFC #NUFC #ENG

Some important questions re @JennyMeadows800, Trevor Painter and their set up. How can they be recognised/rewarded for their outstanding contribution to UK Athletics? And how can their achievements and culture be replicated on a larger scale across the sport?
