The Gaming Scams Are Back (Short IMPORTANT Thread...Like & Share...Its important) Last bull run, myself and E pointed out MANY projects that were just thrown together Unity Asset Store assets. What is this? In short in Unreal/Unity (the two most popular engines) you can buy pre made assets, code, entire games, environments, graphics etc. For example I could put buy an ENTIRE Fortnite "clone" game template in the store, swap out a few models, import a pre made map and create FULLY playable gameplay vids. For example the screen below is a cyberpunk template that would let me create Cyberpunk gameplay just like the image below in a few hours. Using temporary assets or premade code is extremely common. For example in a first person shooter the way the character moves (aka the controller) and the ammo/basic systems are usually pre built. This is not what I am referring to. I am talking about planting in ENTIRE code/asset packs, mixing them together, then claiming you are making a crypto game. Below is also a game I developed as a solo dev for fun in 30 days. While its not amazing, you can see just how much can be created by just 1 guy and a PC. I have unique assets, sound, levels, enemies, weapons, a gameplay loop etc as a hobbyist. This is why I laugh at a lot of the games that are starting to be pitched to me. They do not even have a working loop or unique assets after raising millions n claiming to be going AAA. Half the time I can do a quick search and see it's entirely pre-made pre-existing code slapped together garbage. I pointed this out last year about a project that was ENTIRELY pre made assets, now I hear people cannot exit the coins they bought pre-sale. Why is this bad? 95% of game investors (and influencers) have no dev experience. I see people on CT and investors pushing projects that are literally just 2 dude slapping together premade assets. And then the coins PAMP...usually with really crafty tokenomics that hurt retail investors. My Point : Do not under estimate the level of garbage/BS that will not just enter the space, but also be PUSHED by "experts" and shilled. I am already seeing this start to pop back up, it will get 100x worse in a real bull run. Learn how games are made or at least learn how to spot crappy development/pre made code being slapped together. Good looking gameplay is REALLY easy to create. I'm talking 2 hours casually in a afternoon easy. Be vigilant. There is MASSIVE incentive to create & shill utter dog 💩in gaming. Those that can't tell the difference will end up as massive bag holders as they should be. This is the pinnacle of not doing research.

@Asmongold @Wowhead Basically they turned all activities/items into NFTs without allowing the player to actually own those and can revoke them at anytime.

@ZssBecker It has been absolutely extraordinary to be a part of to say the least. The amount of tech and the implementation of that tech has been extraordinary...yet we are only laying the ground work right now.

More progress and adoption has been made in gaming crypto during the bear than any other sector. Huge brands, companies, influencers all picking it up. The price does not reflect this so people have written it off. But when the bull hits it will…all at once. Casual 20-30xs.

@CryptoGodJohn With respect, I don’t get how. It doesn’t work and is a crippling burden for any project built on it and we are not even at 1/1000th the scale/demand it will need to be at. It’s literally failing at even it’s most beta use and it’s been 10 years. It’s a total failed tech

Your first web3 game NFT sale should be $50 or less. Then gradually offer higher packages for whales as your game activity grows. This way, utility develops enough to make those high dollars NFTs actually worth it and desired.

It’s important to look at $pepe objectively in this down turn and remind yourself a few simple truths 1-$pepe is only 3 weeks old. Imagine selling BAYC or $btc within a month of inception. 2- Let’s face it…Pepe is the king of memecoin. If you gonna bet on memes, you bet on $pepe. At this point, everything else is a gamble and will never be $pepe. 3-The vast majority of people are not aware of pepe just yet. It’s not really available to the US who are predominantly on Coinbase, Gemini and Robinhood. You are early! 4- Your major exchanges and whales have been buying your $pepe’s as you paperhand and exit. 5-It’s healthy for prices to go down. Don’t let emotions get the best of you when prices retrace. 6-Don’t forget we are still in a crypto and NFT bear market. Pepe prices will fluctuate depending on $btc and $eth. Alt coins fall when the giants fall too. 7-Long term always win. Don’t try to get fancy doing flips and swings. If you believe $pepe will be a top memecoin, just hold. 8-Generation wealth doesn’t come overnight. You need to stay on the journey for the long term. Yes it can crash but would you rather have tried or have regrets if it moons and you missed out? 9-Fortune favors the Bold! 10-Always gamble responsibly. Assume you will lose it all. NFA.
