Might be a challenge for Sean, etc, to finish their 3 Peaks challenge in time now. Currently stuck on the M6 after Peak 1, Snowdon, on their way to Scafell Pike, which they will likely have to do in the dark now along with Ben Nevis. On the plus side, they have free beer 🍺🍻

Hi @HighwaysNWEST, do you know if any incidents have been reported on the M6 southbound near Preston? Heavy traffic has been building in the area, as well as on the M55.

Extremely busy night started with 3x incs in Blackpool- gas leak & 2x persons reported 🔥 including a chip pan ❌ Then onto Preston for large commercial 🔥- fantastic effort by all @LancashireFRS to limit spread & reduce wider impact. Massive thanks & well done to all everyone 👏

It's not everyday a seal pup loses its way and ends up in a farmers field in Walton Le Dale. It made its way a good few hundred metres away from the river Darwen near the Capitol Center. Thanks to some locals, @BDMLR, @RSPCA_official for the help to rescue this pup. @blogpreston
