Consider this theory: Many kids have become passive consumers of media & no longer recognize when they need to take action. Example: Give a direction, kids stare, no clue what's going on. It takes 5 min just to take out a workbook & turn to the right page. Should be 30 secs. Might have a kid or two being slow, but everyone else should be done in a few seconds.
