When I graduated college in 2014, one of my goals was simple: become a millionaire. I didn’t know exactly how I’d get there. I just knew I needed to save and invest a meaningful portion of my income over time. Thanks to recent market highs, I can now say I’ve reached that goal at 34. I didn’t think this was possible so early until a few years ago, when my income started rising and compounding really began to do the heavy lifting. I’ve only ever worked a W-2 job. I kept my expenses low, increased my income steadily, and invested the difference into my 401k and index funds. Along the way, I still lived my life. I traveled, spent money on experiences I value, and enjoyed the process without feeling deprived. Thirteen years later, here I am. I know this goes against my brand (of being a silent stacker) but I’m sharing this to show that financial freedom is achievable without living a boring life. With consistency, balance, and patience, it can happen sooner than you think.

I’m 24 years old and I recently got a new job that pays double my old jobs pay. The one thing I can tell you is that everybody is right. You must increase your income if you want to get rich as fast as possible. I can’t believe the difference in my life since the new job.

@Silent_stackers I drive a Toyota Solara convertible 2007, bought it for $2,000 2 years ago. Still drives like new. $0 car payment = $500-700 more to my portfolio. = hundreds of thousands in 10-15 years.✌🏽

Everyone talks about Toyota, and for good reason, but most Japanese automakers build incredibly reliable cars. Brands like Honda, Mazda, and Nissan often offer similar dependability for less money, especially on the used market. You don’t need the “Toyota premium” to get a great, long lasting vehicle.

Honestly. Being 23, I hope the market continues to sell off. I’ll keep investing $VOO in my RothIRA I’m investing for the long term. No options/ leverage/ ect. I’m not phased.
