@BednarikMatt Honestly those can be the best deals No one else wants to deal with it, but get a few young guys to spend clearing and it will be a blank slate

@mhp_guy That's a shitty problem (no pun intended), but not common On a house that new the builder should absolutely be pitching in but I'm a little surprised he actually is

So ya wanna be a homeowner? Our home is <10 years old. The sewer line disconnected from the foundation & caused a 35 foot “belly.” AKA the toilets won’t flush anymore, because gravity. Insurance nor warranty will cover it. Cheapest quote was $25k. Tons of digging. Thankfully the builder is being a bro and covering half of it. Still in favor of owning, but the costs add up!

Buying a house in your 20s is a liability, not an investment. Argue against me.

@GenZMultifamily @grok I heard on a podcast a guy that owned an apartment complex and replaced all the toilets with those new ones that use like a gallon or less per flush and saved some crazy amount every month on water

@indexnforgetit I thought so too but apparently not. Like that is so much water lol @grok How much water can a toilet use if it was running for 24 hours straight? Is 3,000 gallons an absurd amount or is that very possible?

A mistake I just made will cost me around $1,000. All my buildings have smart meters with an app to monitor usage and leaks. I’ve got alerts set for anything over .1 gallon/hr. Been perfect since I got them. Then I got comfortable… and stopped checking the app. Of course, that’s when it misses a leak. Tenant texts me Tuesday- running toilet. No big deal had it fixed same day. I realize I never got an alert. So I check the app. That toilet started running Sunday. Monday alone: 3,000 gallons. For reference, this is a 5 unit building that averages around 3,400-4,000 gallons per WEEK max. Simply put, I underestimated the leakage potential of the Porcelain throne. Pissed I let myself slip like that. Lucky for you, I made the mistake so you don't have to in the future.

@indexnforgetit Must be nice lol. Not exactly sure what this will cost yet but I know it’ll be a lot more than that. My water bill has almost doubled in a year it’s ridiculous

@indexnforgetit That’s awesome it’s provided. Should be mandatory, but I understand most kids can understand simple compound interest. So let’s let them find out when they are 25!

Wrong. Maybe don't send your kids to school thinking it's okay to hit others. My kids will learn (depending on the how they are hit) to, in order: 1. Tell them to stop. 2. Tell a teacher. 3. Kick their ass.

@SteveOnSpeed I’m not 500 lbs but still fat. I’m trying hard for the first time at the age of 70. I have no health concerns and I’ve been fortunate. Being hungry won’t kill me but being fat just might. My new outlook. Down 16 lbs. and feeling great.

Legit curious. On a cruise. Saw a woman who was probably 500 pounds, easy. Insanely fat. Needed a scooter to get around. Has 6 plates of food in front of her. Do these folks just,..not care that they are morbidly obese?

@SteveOnSpeed No they'll blame literally everything and everyone before accepting responsibility It's how they live their lives personally, physically, financially and spiritually It's a disease to which the only cure is a mindset shift
