A 16 Year old female dog was caught using a wire noose today by an @MCD_Delhi employee in front of her caregiver's eyes. Anyone who knows even a little bit about dogs knows what it means to be a dog and 16 years old (112 in human years). She's a senior citizen who has survived this long on the streets of Delhi. I don't know if one needs to be a dog lover or an animal lover to condemn this. On the eve of #Janmashtami #Janmashtami2023, let's raise our voices against these illegal actions in the capital city/state of the country that introduced the concept of #ahimsa and #vasudhaivakutumbakam to the world. -------- This is not the India our forefathers dreamt of. THIS IS NOT THE INDIA I DREAMED OF!! Erring officials who have passed this illegal order must be held accountable and taken action against. -------- We have submitted the official complaints and requests today, along with photographic evidence and all necessary annexures. We want to know where the dogs have been taken (feeders and caregivers are unable to trace their dogs) 3. We want to ensure that they're well taken care of and have enough food until the Summit is over 4. We want to ensure there's minimal relocation when they're released, and that 100% of the dogs are released 5. Some questions that need answers: Q.1 Have the @MCD_Delhi officials read the ABC Rules, 2023? If they have, why are they openly flouting them? Q.2 Why are there beer bottles at the Dwarka Sector 29 ABC Centre? Are they part of the verbal orders issued by Dr. Sodhi? Q.3 What action will be taken against the gentleman in the video and Dr. Sodhi who is stating on record that he has been given orders from above to capture sterilized dogs? Q.4 Who has allowed @MCD_Delhi Officials to use catching rods to catch dogs, when the ABC Rules, 2023 clearly prescribe the use of Nets?
