This is happening to a number of clubs (believe we’re at 10). Why? Is the question. Few theories:
1 - The time allows MLB to work the package of all of them with carriers and the sides are banging that out.
2 - The longer this waits, the more all the DTC streaming subs are pulled in which directly goes to the club and league, bypassing the middleman.

Nats acquiring INF Jorbit Vivas from Yankees for RHP prospect Sean Paul Liñan, source confirms. Vivas played 29 games in NYY last year and is out of options. Liñan was acquired from Dodgers in Alex Call trade. Nats will need to clear 40-man spot. (First reported @andrewcgolden)
