The NHL's playoff seeding format will result in one of the best three teams in the West gone after Round 1, and two of the top three teams gone after the second (Avs/Stars/Wild). This is not defensible. Go with 1-8, etc. Guerin is right.

Saturday start PIT/PHI CAR/OTT DAL/MIN Sunday start TB/MTL COL/x VGK/x Edmonton fits way better with the Saturday group - but won't start their playoffs on Saturday because of playing on Thursday.

There's very few things that Dad really hated in life. He *HATED* the loser point. Capslock, underline, bold, italics size 72 HATED. The leagues argument that it would affect comparison to previous results didn't pass the smell test and it still doesn't. It should have been 3-2-1, he knew it and deep down the league knows it (see: 4NFO). They should just Mea culpa and fix this once and for all. Edm did not have this issue. They have never had this issue. The only issue was them facing elite goaltending and not getting close to that themselves.

@mathewjdp Lewandowski was in tough. PA is the best defensive team in the WHL, they shut guys down hard.

Nuge has 11 points in his last 25 games, they need more from him in the playoffs.
