Most people who constantly complain about South African shows hardly even watch TV.
Some have been complaining about the lack of sitcoms and comedy shows, yet there’s Isthembu Sika Msongelwa. We actually have plenty of options on SA television,people just don’t scroll or search enough to find something they’d enjoy.
Yes, telenovelas may look and feel the same, but over the years, different kinds of storylines have been explored. The real question is: did people actually watch?
We had 1802: Love Defies Time,did they watch? Sibongile and The Dlaminis, did they watch? Smoke and Mirrors, did they watch?

📺 The audience doesn't watch the shows that they claim to want. The same people that come here and scream that they want "crime free" shows are ignoring Homecoming and Amalanga Awafani, great shows. Good thing that both these shows have been renewed for a season 2.
