Most image models generate what you type. Uni-1 understands what you mean. I tried something simple: A clear idea with structure, not a complex prompt. Instead of guessing, it planned the layout, handled composition, and delivered a clean result in one pass. No prompt tricks. No overthinking keywords. Just clear thinking → finished visual. This feels like a shift from “prompting tools” to working with something that actually reasons. Made with Uni-1 @LumaLabsAI Try it now : lumalabs.ai/uni-1

Most AI tries to sit in your inbox and wait. This feels different. More like a quiet nudge at the right moment, before you even think to ask. If it actually helps you show up better in conversations, that’s where the real value is.

Been playing around with Alt-X for a bit and it actually feels built for real workflows. It doesn’t just spit out a basic sheet. It builds something you can work with, and more importantly, you can trace every number back to where it came from. That control matters. You’re not guessing, you’re verifying. Still curious how it handles more complex deals, but this already feels closer to how analysts actually work.
Y Combinator@ycombinator

Alt-X (@downloadaltx) builds AI agents that turn real estate deal documents into fully built underwriting models in Excel automatically, with every number cited back to the source. Congrats on the launch, @SamadiRyan and Michael! ycombinator.com/launches/PjC-a…

Stop paying for extra iCloud storage. Stop paying for extra iCloud storage. Stop paying for extra iCloud storage. My iPhone said "Storage Almost Full" and I couldn't take any more photos. I was ready to pay Apple $2.99/month for 50GB. Turns out, I didn't need to. I freed up massive space in 15 minutes without deleting a single photo. Here's exactly what I did:

Between Gemini 3.1 and Claude 4.6, it’s honestly wild what you can build. Gemini 3.1 + Claude 4.6 makes geospatial builds feel like cheating. Someone just spun up a Google Earth meets Palantir style dashboard with live tracking and traffic intel, even skinned like a classified system. This is getting wild.

Andrej Karpathy just did what no economist wanted to. He showed exactly which jobs AI is eating. Some careers should be very worried. He built a free tool that scores every job in America on AI exposure. 143 million jobs. 342 occupations. One map. He built a tool that scores every job in America from 0 to 10. Here's the scale: 0-1 → Roofer, landscaper, diver. AI can't touch them. 2-3 → Electrician, plumber, firefighter. Mostly safe. 4-5 → Nurse, police officer, vet. Partially exposed. 6-7 → Teacher, accountant, journalist. AI is already useful here. 8-9 → Software developer, designer, copywriter, paralegal. Major restructuring coming. 10 → Data entry, telemarketer. AI can do this today. One caveat Karpathy himself added: high exposure doesn't mean disappearing. It means reshaping. Software developers score 9/10. But demand for software could grow as every developer gets more productive. But reshaping still means millions of people need to figure out what comes next.

A Sydney tech entrepreneur just designed a custom mRNA cancer vaccine for his dying rescue dog using ChatGPT. The tumor shrank 75%. Scientists are speechless. → Rosie: 8-year-old rescue dog, terminal mast cell cancer → Chemo slowed it. Couldn't stop it. → Paul Conyngham's response: "No worries, I'm a data analyst. I'll figure this out with ChatGPT." 17 years in machine learning. Zero biology background. → Paid $3,000 to sequence Rosie's tumor DNA at UNSW → Fed the data into ChatGPT + AlphaFold (Google DeepMind's Nobel Prize-winning protein tool) → Identified the mutated proteins driving the cancer → Matched them to drug targets → Condensed months of analysis into a half-page mRNA vaccine formula Associate Professor Martin Smith watched in disbelief: "Paul was relentless. He called and told me he'd analyzed the data, found mutations, used AlphaFold to find the mutated proteins, identified targets, and matched them to drugs. I'm like woah, that's crazy!" Then came the real enemy. Not the cancer. The paperwork. → Ethics approval required before a single injection → Conyngham spent 3 months writing a 100-page application → Two hours every evening after work → Red tape was harder than building the actual vaccine Finally approved. He drove 10 hours for Rosie's first injection. December 2025. One week later, the tumor started shrinking. → Tumor shrank 75% within one month → Coat got glossy again → January 2026: Rosie spotted a rabbit at the dog park and jumped the fence to chase it Martin Smith's question that should be on the front page of every medical journal: "It raises the question if we can do this for a dog, why aren't we rolling this out to all humans with cancer?" This isn't a cure. Conyngham is already designing a second vaccine for a tumor that didn't respond. But here's what just happened: One data engineer. A $20/month ChatGPT subscription. $3,000 in DNA sequencing. Produced the world's first personalized cancer vaccine ever designed for a dog, the same mRNA technology Moderna and Merck are spending billions to bring to humans. The bottleneck was never biology. It was access. AI just removed it.
