Bingo. That’s all we lose in this war. Which was likely gonna be lost anyway
CD@Christiansistr2

@Indikur @FlyoutChase @ktea613 the Americans having Superior might is not a facade but American having Superior integrity and morality is the facade. So if they keep this up that would be exposed not them losing a war because that's not going to happen against iran

@madisontayt_ We most certainly do have the right to bomb countries with impunity, idk what would give you the idea that we didn’t?

i’d like for americans to stop qualifying their statements on iran with how they feel about their government. it’s just… useless. “the united states doesn’t have the right to bomb countries with impunity” is a complete sentence and your little addendums cheapen the lives lost

Assassinating leaders of foreign countries was also a taboo for decades. When you start breaking taboos don't be surprised when others do too. Of course US broke the embassy taboo in 1999 when it bombed the Chinese embassy. Then Israel bombed Iranian consulate in Damascus. So here we are. Welcome to the desert of the real.

@carltonkitheka1 The same way the US lost in Afghanistan and Vietnam. The war isn't just some airstrikes bro. Iran has literally spent 40 years preparing for this. This war is gonna end like the others, with America spending trillions, doing nothing and leaving a madman incharge of Iran.

@ryan_landay @Carpetpatch1 @planefag @GeoConfirmed How come everyone that defends Iran talks about what they “could” do? The fact is the airport is open and planes are flying in and out. I don’t give a fuck about what YOU, who’s never seen combat thinks about a war you’ve never participated in.

I popped over to @GeoConfirmed's website at geoconfirmed dot org and it verified the impression I'd got from my OSINT feed: Iran is losing this war, badly. Because if they weren't, the gulf states part of the map below would be absolutely awash in red icons. The gulf states claim they've shot down hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles, and I believe them, because by rights the huge number of SRBMs (even if most of them are older and of questionable accuracy) and drones should be doing significantly more damage. Iran's threat held to the world's oil supply was always two-fold - first, closing the strait of Hormuz, and second, directly damaging gulf state oil infrastructure to stop extraction. Instead they're going for a counter-value strategy... and doing a piss-poor job of it, given we can count the number of targets hit in the gulf states seems to still be in the single digits. It's normal to go after an enemy's C3 (command, control, communications) to disrupt their ability to pass on orders and co-ordinate attacks, but by erasing almost all of Iran's most senior military and political leadership in one stroke, there wasn't even anyone to give those orders even if C3 had been intact. Operating on their own initiative and/or pre-planned strikes, they're just not massing enough fires to achieve salvo weights that can effectively saturate defenses. And they can't count on superior magazine depth either, as they're on a timer; with the ample resources of the USAF - and also the IAF, supported by American tankers - operating constantly in their airspace to find and destroy their launchers. Once they fall below a certain critical mass of launchers their ability to penetrate defenses will vanish. To say nothing of the ongoing campaign against the regime's enforcement apparatus - police stations, IRGC bases and armories, etc. They don't have an infinite amount of time to apply the pressure they need to force a ceasefire. In short, they're absolutely hosed, and it looks like this is going even better than what I expect the most optimistic expectations of the war planners were. Because damn.

@Carpetpatch1 @planefag @ryan_landay @GeoConfirmed It was a counter argument that you didn’t understand. He was saying “airports close all the time for various reasons” That airport is now operating again. Hence, the point that it WAS closed isn’t even relevant anymore. Keep up brother

I truthfully believe nobody wants to die. Nobody wants to make a decision that will kill their wife and kids. Your best friends’ wife and his kids. You want to say you made the decision that got everyone killed? Okay then surrender because we will do that shit. It’s that simple

And this is probably the most accurate telling of the current events.

the US has two options when it comes to Iran either put boots on the ground to preserve their presence in the Gulf and broader Middle East or take the L and retreat, ceding the Middle East to Iran and leaving Israel vulnerable gl white obama

If y’all don’t know. Israel is going to nuke Iran’s fault and it will be glorious and it will be funny. Cuz you all have clearly forgot what a nuclear bomb will do but I guess you’ll have to be reminded.
