@redlipsgunmetal I'm watching the dub of the anime Frieren lately, and that character also sounds aloof and detached (at least to where I am). She never sounds flat though like Ada does. So I don't know what it is, but Lily just sounds bored all the time, even when the moment isn't supposed to.

@redlipsgunmetal There are lines in RE4 that SHOULD have some sort of inflection though and there's absolutely nothing. And you're right, it's probably not her fault. It very well could be the direction she's been given. To act aloof, detached, whatever. It still sucks.

lily gao’s voice works well with ada because she’s not playing her like a seductress. ada is detached, private, and always 3 steps ahead. the calm, colder delivery fits waayyy better than the “mysterious sexy spy” voice people expected to hear in re4rm
