Not a word in the Western press about Israel's assassination attempt on Steve Sweeney. But this clown circus by a BBC journalist pretending to be under fire in Ukraine, while an elderly lady was walking the dog asking him if he was ok, was plastered all over the news.
Olga Bazova@OlgaBazova

The RT journalist Steve Sweeney and his crew were deliberately targeted by Israel while filming a report in Lebanon. He's alive, but being treated for injuries.

@georgegalloway Not a surprise to be honest. They are too busy investigating me for terrorism offences because of my journalistic activities, forcing me into exile from my own country. Never have I known such a weak, pathetic and craven government.

BREAKING NEWS: In a shock U-turn, leaders of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Japan issued a statement a few hours ago saying YES to U.S. President Donald Trump’s call to join military “efforts to ensure safe passage” in the Strait of Hormuz. Canada issued a statement shortly afterwards, saying it would join Trump’s coalition. Iran closed the Strait after Trump and Israel leader Benjamin Netanyahu launched an unprovoked attack on Iran as it was capitulating to US demands in peace talks. More than 3,000 Iranians have been killed, including hundreds of children. . ABANDONED PLEDGE The US Navy abandoned a pledge to oversee safe passage and moved away from the troubled waters--but Trump called on others, China and the western nations, to take action. China ignored the call, and the western nations refused, but have now changed their minds. Standing with Trump and Netanyahu on “the Hormuz Coalition” are: · Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer · France’s President Emmanuel Macron · Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz · Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni · Netherlands’ Prime Minister Rob Jetten · Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi · Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney . BLAMING THE VICTIMS In a now familiar display of anti-logic, the leaders refused to condemn the US and Israel for launching a war widely identified as illegal, but sharply criticized the Iranians for defending themselves. “We call on Iran to cease immediately its threats, laying of mines, drone and missile attacks and other attempts to block the strait to commercial shipping, and to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2817,” the letter said. The letter does not specify which nations will send troops or warships or how many. US officials said those details will be worked out later. Surveys show that the public in Europe, UK and even the United States, strongly disapprove of the US-Israel war on Iran—but the leaders are going against their voters. Their actions lend weight to assertions that western liberal democracy is a sham, controlled by behind-the-scenes lobbies pushing a heavy militarization agenda. . COLD-CALLING How did Trump manage to change their minds? The US President and several senior officials embarked on a series of high level phone calls from Saturday onwards to certain nations, Axios reported. Trump spoke on Sunday with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. "Most of this oil isn't our oil — it goes to other countries. So if they want it and they want the price to come down, they need to help out," the official told Axios. . EAST STAYING OUT OF IT While western nations condemn Iran, eastern nations have pointed out that the US and Israel are clearly the ones transgressing international law. These include China, Russia, Pakistan and Somalia. However, Russia is too stretched by western sanctions to send troops, China has a pacifist defence-only military stance, and India and Pakistan are internally divided on whether to support continued US global dominance.

Oil workers are being coerced to stay there [Kharg Island]' – Bessent suddenly cares about workers' conditions in Iran "We will see if that [Kharg Island] eventually becomes a US asset," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent adds. Seems like he thinks the US doesn't have any other problems except obtaining new assets in the region.

@SprinterPress Did Cheney leave an instruction manual- same old playbook. They will land on the island to steal the oil-just like Iraq and Syria. They do not expect Iran will destroy their own reserves- just as Assad did not.

**🇺🇸🇮🇷 Bessent: 'We Will See If Kharg Island Eventually Becomes a US Asset.' The Mask Is Off.** The US Treasury Secretary made a statement that changes the nature of this war. On one hand, he expressed concern for Iranian oil workers "coerced" to stay on Kharg Island. On the other, he openly mused about the island—which handles 90% of Iran's oil exports—becoming an American asset. This is not humanitarian concern. This is annexation logic wrapped in diplomatic language. The world is watching. And if this is where things are headed, the United States is becoming the problem—not the solution. 🧵 **Tweet 1** ✅ **VERIFIED: Bessent's Kharg Island Comments** During a Fox Business interview on March 19, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated: "The military assets on Kharg Island were destroyed. The other thing I can tell you, if you're an oil worker, you don't want to work there. So all the oil workers there are being coerced to stay there. And we will see what happens with whether that eventually becomes a US asset." He also claimed the US is "starting to see defections" within the Iranian regime. ✅ SOURCES: Yeni Şafak , This is Beirut , Business Standard **Tweet 2** 📊 **The Context: What Is Kharg Island?** Kharg Island is Iran's primary oil export terminal, handling approximately **90% of the country's crude shipments**. The US conducted a bombing campaign targeting military assets on the island last week. Bessent confirmed the strikes were "precision strikes" against military targets—but then suggested the entire island could become a US asset. **Tweet 3** ⚠️ **The Contradiction in Bessent's Statement** Bessent simultaneously claimed: 1. Concern for Iranian oil workers being "coerced" to stay 2. Kharg Island "may eventually become a US asset" The analysis highlights that this is not humanitarian concern. It is the language of a campaign to seize strategic territory, dressed in diplomatic clothing. **Tweet 4** 💡 **What Bessent's Words Reveal** The Treasury Secretary described a strategy that uses: • Sanctions as weapons (Iranian oil currently on the water—140 million barrels—may be "unsanctioned" to flood markets) • Military strikes to degrade Iranian infrastructure • The possibility of direct US control over Iran's primary oil export hub This is not a defensive war. This is a war for resources dressed as a war for security. **Tweet 5** 🌍 **The Warning: This Could Lead to Superpower Confrontation** One analysis warns: if the US proceeds down this path, it becomes the problem for the entire world. A confrontation between superpowers would be inevitable. Consider: • Kharg Island is Iranian sovereign territory • 90% of Iran's oil exports pass through it • Iran has spent 20+ years preparing defenses • Russia has deep strategic ties with Tehran • China buys Iranian oil and has a 25-year strategic partnership If the US attempts to seize Kharg Island, Iran will react. And its allies will not stand idle. **Tweet 6** 📉 **The Broader Strategy Bessent Described** The Treasury Secretary outlined a multi-pronged approach: • Unsanction 140 million barrels of Iranian oil currently at sea to flood markets • Release 400 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (IEA-coordinated) • Use Russian oil waivers (through April 11) to supplement supply • Continue military pressure while hoping for "defections" He admitted: "We will be using the Iranian barrels against the Iranians to keep the price down for the next 10 or 14 days as we continue this campaign." **Tweet 7** ⚠️ **The Energy Markets Are Already Collapsing** The context Bessent is responding to: • Brent crude hit $118/barrel • Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG facility was struck—force majeure declared, 3-5 years to repair • The Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed • IEA confirms the largest oil supply disruption in history (8 million barrels/day offline) Bessent's "concern" for oil workers appears to be a panic response to a market spiraling out of control. **Tweet 8** 🇺🇸 **Bottom Line: What Is Verified** ✅ Bessent explicitly suggested Kharg Island "may eventually become a US asset" ✅ He claimed US forces destroyed military assets on the island last week ✅ He framed concern for Iranian oil workers while floating annexation ✅ He described a strategy of using Iranian oil reserves to stabilize markets ✅ The US is now openly discussing taking sovereign Iranian territory The analysis concludes: The United States is not fighting a war for security. It is fighting a war for resources. If it proceeds down the path of territorial annexation, it will become the problem for the entire world—not the solution. Russia, China, and Iran will not simply watch. The confrontation Bessent is preparing for may be larger than anyone imagines. --- 🧭 My work focuses on decision-oriented strategic analysis. the destruction of "Europe" is a planned event. they want to crush the system - this is the only way to introduce all those nasty things like digital Euro - mass surveillance - harder laws - and a de facto police state. big reset is not a myth - it's coming.

Earlier today, Netanyahu scoffed at the idea that he talked President Trump into this war w Iran. Evidence screams the contrary. But now, he all but declares there will be a ground operation in this war. Now we’ll see whether president Trump is a vassal of the Israeli Prime Minister, or does Trump have agency and can say no? Because this is 100% contrary to American national security interests. Not one more American service member should pay the ultimate sacrifice for the benefit of the Israeli leader by dying in a futile ground operation that ultimately harms American security. If President Trump gives into this as well, then according to American law, the US Constitution, and just common decency, he should be impeached and removed from office.

BOMBSHELL! Netanyahu just casually admitted on live TV that there will be a GROUND INVASION of Iran. The air strikes were just the beginning of a massive, devastating regional war.
