Since everyone’s been posting the @Apple 50th anniversary stuff all week figured I’d share the cool exhibit at @ComputerHistory

@garrytan These days it’s more important than ever partners have the founder builder background

One of my favorite things about YC
Every partner is a founder and builder

@garrytan @kevinrose I've built an AI-native document editor with a set of composable gstack-like skills. It's still a bit rough around the edges, but you can give it a go if you like! I'll DM @kevinrose

@devahaz Yea the Metreon struggled during the dotcom bubble in SF and post 9-11. That target is hands down awesome 🎯

Metreon original concept pretty much a complete dud from the start. Finally threw in the towel like 2005 and switched to regular food court plus retail, with great pool hall/sports bar Jillian’s RIP. Then later switched to Target. Best thing has always been amazing IMAX theater.

Things used to be cool. Metreon opened in 1999 in downtown San Francisco as a large entertainment venue developed by Sony. The complex was designed as a technology-focused attraction featuring arcades, movie theaters, themed stores, and exhibits. Showcasing Sony’s electronics

@chinmay @devahaz @wongmjane I agree with @devahaz here. IMO YC is more an “accelerator” managing programs and optics vs a typical VC firm.

What happens if a YC startup gets delisted by YC? Do they pull the funding too or?
