Founders have an incredibly difficult job. Creating something from nothing is insanely hard. I try to provide more than just capital and be as useful as possible in removing barriers so founders can focus on building. It’s a privilege to be working with unapologetically ambitious founders like @weberwongwong
weber@weberwongwong

enough about forward-deployed engineers we need more forward-deployed angels was thinking about this because one of our angels Umesh Khanna (@forwarddeploy) has just been pulling up on Sundays and going deep with us on the product problems we're dealing with, designing growth loops, sharpening our "aha" moments and more. It’s been super helpful very lucky to have him aboard the FLORA cap table

True. As a precautionary measure, all user data that was uploaded to SpaceXAI before now will be completely and utterly deleted. Zero anything whatsoever will remain.

I worked on building an end-to-end encrypted email/docs/files/calendar app @skiffprivacy for 4 years and care deeply about privacy. ZDR and /privacy are always respected in Grok Build - and swapping your setting with /privacy deletes any synced data retoractively

ok! quick updates from me: - i left anthropic (who does that?!) - had a baby (i love her) - and am joining @cursor_ai as head of design (eep!) it's been a low-key dream of mine to nurture a team that cares so deeply about craft, quality, and building great tools. very excited!

Since a few people were skeptical that Grok actually did all this, here’s the breakdown of how it works and why I’m impressed by Grok. Everything was built by me prompting Grok Build. Grok wrote all the code and generated assets through a mix of Grok Imagine and Seedance. It read the docs and wrote its own scripts to call Seedance with its own prompts. It was following a skill I wrote (linked below). Sure, but that’s not a big deal, it just generated videos and plays them when you click, right? Not quite; the code is actually super gnarly. If you look closely: - There are several bodies in space over a procedurally generated starfield. These have a transparent background - When you click, we smoothly start playing the transition clip, fade in the video background, and reorient the camera all at once. There’s no obvious pop where we go from static image to playing video This was SUPER complex. What Grok ended up doing was writing numpy scripts that extracted the first few frames of the transition videos, lifting out the subject using the Apple Vision framework, drawing it over pure black, then fading to the true video background. Then it video compressed this so it could be served efficiently. However, web video codecs don’t support transparency, so it had to write a crazy shader that extracts the video frames, chroma keys out the BG at start of transition, figures out where the target body is on screen, aligns the transition video perfectly, then scrubs the video while panning the camera to align it to the viewport. It’s very non-trivial, and would’ve been a nightmare with older models. Doing all this in ~2 hours for ~20% of my quota is insane.

The path to launch is filled with obstacles and success is only possible through the tireless efforts of many working together towards a common goal. “Critical Path” continues the ongoing Starship series, following SpaceX engineers through the final days before launch of the first Starship V3 and the challenges that come with development of the world’s most powerful and fully reusable rocket.

(19yo btw idk if i qualify) pretrained, midtrained, and post-trained an on-device medical AI that fits on 4gb cellphone ram for those who live in areas with low connectivity, natural disasters, and other barriers. model is actively being used and tested by physicians at UMiami Miller SOM, University of Florida, and Northern and Southern India. punches way way above it's weight (~30pts above models its size on med benchmarks). public release in august. i'd leave school instantly to work for spacexai and elon.

🚀 Loving Grok 4.5? Want to build what comes next at @SpaceXAI? We’re looking for exceptional engineers who: 1. Are founders or founding engineers who’ve shipped products people love 2. Have trained models and turned them into something people actually use 3. Love building tools that make life dramatically better for engineers and model builders If that sounds like you, drop your details below. We’d love to chat!

Grok 4.5 is our most useful model yet! It’s Opus-class in capabilities while being fast and cheap. Also very excited about the models we have on the factory line with @SpaceXAI and @cursor_ai teams. Please try Grok 4.5 on your most challenging problems and share critical feedback: we aim to rapidly improve!

I didn't expect to say this... But after one day with Grok 4.5 from @SpaceXAI, I've already started moving some of my Claude Code and Codex workflows over. It's ridiculously fast, and the intelligence is way better than I expected. Huge props to @elonmusk and the team. If you're paying $8/month for X Premium, you've already got plenty of Grok usage included. It's worth trying.
