On this day in 1939, the Soviet Union joined Hitler’s invasion of Poland in line with the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. This alliance destroyed the continent, brutally killing and subjugating millions. For many of us, the end of WW2 did not bring an end to Soviet terror.
