@GreggDCaruso Disclaimers can’t exclude liability for personal injury. Is harm foreseeable? Yes - why else test software or market as safe? Establishing fault may be difficult, but causation less so. Pursue the supplier under strict liability - let them chase the software provider.

In my business ethics classes, I always cover product safety and hence contract law (caveat emptor), tort law (negligence), and strict product liability. In the past, I always found the topic boring and dry. But I just came up with this case that I want my students to reason through and debate in class. Any thoughts?

@DeborahMeaden i might have suggested UK should reclaim sovereignty of the USofA on the basis I feel some of the wording in the 1776 Declaration of Independence is bigly unfair; but on reflection, I really don't think we want the place any more. ;)
