A classroom has typically 37 kids so that card will only cover $20 per child. For the entire school year. And the teachers can only use this card at Staples, an ally of Ford’s. They can’t use it at say Amazon to get better prices or even Dollarama. THIS IS NOT SUPPORT.

$750 directly to elementary homeroom teachers for classroom supplies. The opposition calls that a problem. For teachers, it’s support.

@samoosterhoff @RobFlackEML @Graydonthempp @BrianSaunderson A more accurate statement would be ‘After removing democratically elected school board trustees across the province we’re further interfering in your democratic rights to elect your own representatives in a craven display of power grabbing greed.’

I couldn’t help but stop in to taste a little bit of home and celebrate one of Canada’s most iconic brands while in Austin. I learned about how Tim Hortons plans to grow across Texas. It’s great to see a company with deep Ontario roots having a global impact.

More teachers are getting fired everyday, and this time, it’s 18 in Brampton and 8 in Mississauga. At a time when class sizes are growing and special education is being starved, why is @PaulCalandra firing the teachers who are qualified to help? Make it make sense. #onpoli

@PaulCalandra What part of raising class sizes supports students? My kids are in grade seven classes of 34!!! How does that support teachers, or parents who need to pick up the slack tutoring at home as they can't get 1-on-1 in the classroom? Also, no $750 for 9-12 teachers. Nothing. Shame!

@PaulCalandra Can you clarify how increasing class sizes, eliminating staff, cutting language and literacy programs and silencing trustees support students, parents or teachers?

As of yesterday, Ontario is out of compliance with the Canada Health Act because Doug Ford's government missed the federal deadline to fund nurse practitioners. Now Ontarians are being forced to pay out of pocket for primary care. 2.5 million people don't have a family doctor, and this Minister has no plan to fix it.

These are the Conservative MPPs who voted to bury students in debt. Doug Ford and 16 others didn't even bother to show up. Remember their faces. Remember what they chose. Marit Stiles and our Ontario NDP caucus are not done fighting to reverse the cuts to OSAP and make education affordable and accessible for everyone.

@OntarioPCParty This is an odd message to see. I know a 10 year old who can no longer go to school becuase they had to cut support staff this year. Explain that PC Party. We know the reason is because you UNDER FUND education just like healthcare but let’s hear your explanation.
