Rather than "Knowing" your Eircode - 1st check it for location & also routing, then put it on a sign for all to see in an emergency. Some Eircodes have misrouted & delayed ambulances - check yours & for others who can't here - checkyourcode.ie

@Postvox can you explain why a package sent to me from Australia is being returned there without ye having attempted delivery even once? Full address and @Eircode on it. I have a tracking number.

@Seananigen @Postvox An Post specified the design of Eircode to suit its requirements & stated that it would be used in every aspect of their business. @Postvox lied. Since 2017 it has been admitting publicly that it doesn't use Eircode. @1Hildegarde has known this since then BUT chose to do nothing!

@sarahleekiely of @FineGael recently pushing Eircode into a use for which it was never designed & is wholly unsuitable yet @1Hildegarde chose to tell no one when she heard @Postvox was not using Eircode for the purpose it was designed & for which €M's Public money was spent.

@Zoe_Kingston_ ambulance Service will accept a Loc8 Code as well as an Eircode & the #loc8code in your case will solve the misrouting. Eircode (Capita) usually tell people to contact GMaps to get this solved but the ambulance service does not use Gmaps & therefore the issue may not be resolved

Do you know your @Eircode , Knowing your eircode can make it much quicker for @AmbulanceNAS crews to find your location. Write it down and keep it safe, Also consider your workplace, gym, elderly neighbours.

@AmbulanceNAS There is no value in a "memorised" Eircode when you are unconscious. All code MUST be checked first and then placed on a sign for all to access in an emergency. There are guides here - checkyourcode.ie

@NAS_Waterford Your statement is NOT always true - Eircodes have verifiably misrouted & delayed ambulances. Also there is no value in "knowing your Eircode" when you are unconscious! Codes MUST be checked & placed on a sign for all to access in an emergency checkyourcode.ie

@Eircode Great advice for the Eircode (or Loc8 Code) to be displayed for all to see BUT every code needs to be checked for Location & Routing 1st. Please do it for those who cant - there's a guide here - checkyourcode.ie

@Eircode I have a problem with Google maps, it always sends people to wrong place which is such a nuisance with deliveries. Not a complaint about Eircode.
