@steveruizok @PhilipIsik like: user accounts no matter if they are using the tldraw component or not? what if it's used in a project without user accounts? what if it's a large app with many users but not all users are using the component?

@chrtze @PhilipIsik Oh it priced on views? I’d expect to price on real users for apps that have real users

Thinking of how we’ll price our tldraw commercial-use license: $1 / user / year? Seems low but napkin math checks out: we were going to have a flat fee around 10k for “small” teams <10k users; and it also comes out right for “big” teams, ie >100k users.

@steveruizok @PhilipIsik reminds me of the mapbox pricing for their webGL lib (mapbox.com/pricing). we used it a lot and it was always a bit risky because we could not guess the number of map views before we launched a new project. what would count as a user for you (load, interact, stay for 10s,.)?

What's your go-to, hosted, authentication solution? My concerns: Auth0: expensive AWS Cognito: complex Firebase: I like it but would be the only Google product I use on the project Supabase: same as firebase I usually use Auth0, but this time I need to scale and save some $$$
