@cozydissident @In_awe_of_God It has nothing to do with politics or aesthetics. It has to do with false ecumenism promulgated in direct opposition to prior magisterium and scripture.

@In_awe_of_God They're schismatic, simple as. Everyone knows who the Pope is, and they reject him for one personal reason or another, often because they make an idol of politics or aesthetics. It's that simple. They are worse than the Orthodox who at least deny there is a Pope of the Church.

@WireCatholic I've signed on because I want it to be known how many of us want to see the traditionalist clergy get together and at least talk. The greatest enemy of our cause is the grade school level bickering and mudslinging that we participate in, especially amongst ourselves.

I think I have a way in which even THESIS clergy could contribute to the efforts of the UNAM SANCTAM project. To be clear, I haven't signed on it. I am studying it and I would like to comment on it. I think there will be interesting points coming up.

@sunrisesagain14 @LighttheFireIAu On the contrary, sedevacantism is the rational conclusion to an honest appraisal of the crisis and V2 revolution. The R&R are very often emotionally attached to apostate Rome and their human attachments to their local parish, priest, etc. I get it, but let's be honest.

@LighttheFireIAu As much as I disagree with sedes. They still acknowledge there is an issue in modern Rome, sedes are the emotional conclusion, instead of the natural/logical conclusion

@NovusOrdoWatch Not everything is an argument. This is just a statement and one that most sedevacantists articulate as well. The SSPX is not the enemy. Their ecclesiology as it relates to the papacy may be erroneous, but they have the faith.

SSPX seminary rector says pope will one day ‘thank them’ for preserving Catholic Tradition - lifesitenews.com/news/sspx-semi… Arguments of this kind were rejected by Pope Leo XIII. They're stupid, anyway. ANY heretic or schismatic can say, "One day the Pope will agree with me."

@river_is_nice I had a house on 3 acres of land that was bigger than this. We had to sell it after my dad died for market price 330k in 2019. Same house went back on the market for 900k last month, so yeah, housing is unaffordable

The logic of totalism necessarily leads to Lefebvre's Eternal Rome concept. As such there is never a reason for the totalists to ever elect a pope, because Pius XII eternally generates jurisdiction--which is why I reject it. The problem isn't it is false, the problem is the model. The model implies there never is a need for a pope except for utilitarian reasons, such as condemning the opposing arguments. This is why dogmatically holding to either thesis or totalist is rather a silly thing to do. They are helpful to understand aspects of the issue but in themselves are placeholders for the actual solution.

Father, respectfully, the clarification has already been given (60 years of convergent data) by the very authority you recognize, ostensibly, as your proximate and living rule of Faith. To the extent you do not adhere to the official interpretation and development of the conciliar doctrines, it proves — in fact — you consider Paul VI - Leo XIV devoid of pontifical Authority, as they are denied the prerogatives they would enjoy as Popes. Consequently, in the practical order, you operate identically to those Catholics who maintain the Apostolic See as either formally or totally vacant.

@findveritasx @Catholicizm1 The oldest boomers were 21 in 1965. The youngest were 1. They weren't the ones that did the wrecking. They were just the first generations to be raised among the ruins.

@Catholicizm1 Anytime I ask when did a thing that used to be awesome become awful (architecture, art, cities, culture in general) it’s always the 60s and boomers to blame. I don’t know what went wrong but it went terribly wrong.

1/2 the Catholic boomers gave us the Novus Ordo in the 60’s. The other 1/2 are now trying to convince us that the Pope is a communist and we should leave the church. What happened to that generation?

@Zachspeare @omnia_ad_jesum BP. Sanborn is a sedeprivationist. He holds that the post–Vatican II popes are material popes, but they lack formal authority because they adhere to or promulgate error. Therefore, the papal office is occupied materially but not formally. This is the "Cassiciacum Thesis".

@nathanasiusjmj @FrDaveNix Certainly true, but what you may find as you dig into the more recent Russian errors, best embodied by Dugin (imo), is that it is at best relativism draped in traditionalism and at worst occult.

@FrDaveNix Did Our Lady of Fatima talk about Marxism or the errors of Russia? So far as I'm aware it's only the latter, and those errors are not limited to Marxism. They include errors that seem to have spread nearly as much on the right as on the left.

Our greatest enemy as Christians is hell—the loss of souls—not political losses. And we know from the 1917 apparitions in Fatima (the greatest private revelation since public revelation ended with the death of the last apostle) the biggest trap of our times to lead people to hell is communism and modernism, especially as promoted by the Catholic hierarchy. The threat to souls is not Trump (though he has certainly said some stupid things lately.) It's not even the Jews (even though I admit after living in Jerusalem last summer that the state of Israel is very evil.) Rather, the yawning pit to hell is opened because the Catholic hierarchy is promoting Marxism ad modernism (especially the heresy of religious indifferentism.) That's Our Lady of Fatima's warning, not mine (at least according to everyone who has read the Third Secret, including both conservatives and liberals.) Maybe we should pay heed to Fatima—the most unusual and extraordinary miracle since the Resurrection of Christ—given specifically for our times, instead of finding easy scapegoats that distract us from eternity.

@LeoBassTG @theoscholastica In the most simple terms, the IBP holds that the crisis is real but has not suspended hierarchical communion. They critique V2 but only in complete submission to the NO hierarchy. They commit to complete fidelity and full canonical obedience to Rome.

@Lucas97895760 @CullumSmith If the act were really Protestant in spirit, then Leo would be tripping over himself to congratulate attendees and declare that he shares a mission with them as he did with Mullally.
