Cards of History
Cards of History@GodPlaysCards·
Folks, I've got a favor to ask. I want to release a new deck in 2027 on British History. This is my current list of 36. I'd love your feedback and suggestions. Any card you are missing or desperately want to see? 1) William the Conqueror 2) The Black Prince 3) English Longbowmen 4) Guy Fawkes (The Gunpowder Plot) 5) Crystal Palace 6) Excalibur or King Arthur (in the category Myths & Legends) 7) War of the Roses 8) Alfred the Great 9) Saint George 10) Oxford University 11) Cambridge University 12) Charles Darwin 13) Lord Horatio Nelson 14) Sir Isaac Newton 15) William Marshal 16) The Magna Carta 17) James Watt 18) Francis Bacon 19) Henry VIII 20) William Shakespeare 21) Queen Elisabeth 22) Battle of Hastings 23) Richard the Lionheart 24) Sir Francis Drake 25) David Livingstone 26) East India Company 27) Red-Coats 28) Winston Churchill 29) The Duke of Wellington 30) The British Museum 31) Jack the Ripper 32) William Wallace ( not "British", so not sure if I want to include him here) 33) Queen Victoria 34) Robin Hood (in the category Myths & Legends) 35) Saint Patrick 36) Henry V I'm in a full draft stage so any feedback is welcome and much appreciated.

I would love to find a priest I feel comfortable talking to for my first confession. All the priests in my local area are from overseas and I don’t feel comfortable talking to them about my personal life or really deep stuff. Does anyone have any advice?

@theoscholastica @BringBackTradIG Go to cmri.org and search for CMRI’s Theological Position: The Chair of Peter Today is Vacant When the so-called Church contradicts 1900+ years of teaching, you have to judge whether it can be the true Church.

@BringBackTradIG I asked this once and I’ll ask again, Do we or do we not put our private judgment over the Church’s when we admit they hold authority? I still haven’t found a good answer. I’m hoping i do bc i don’t wanna jump ship

@jcher78 In traditional Catholic Holy Communion, you receive Our Lord, body, blood, soul, and divinity. You can't have a closer relationship.

You know what bothers me.. I know “about” Jesus but I don’t “know” him. How can I know him? How do I get to truly have a relationship with him? What defines a true relationship? This is what is running through my mind as I sit here drinking my coffee, trying to have a good day

There's a schismatic trad parish in my town Apparently, the priest interviews you before he lets you receive communion I would never do it but...I think I could pass the test

@catholicpat @RobertWeidner11 They are not in communion with a schismatic bishop who doesn't follow the 2,000 years of Church teaching. That's a good thing.

My friend and spiritual mentor Fr. Paul Mankowski, SJ, told me, not long before he died, that he was hanging on by his fingernails not to become a sedevacantist. That is where I am right now.

All my Catholic friends despise the current church leadership, the disconnect between the pope/cardinal leadership and the base has never been wider than it is today. They are Catholics despite the leadership, not because of.

How can a Catholic Catholic if they disagree with literally everything the Pope says? I mean this sincerely. How do we reconcile this? I would not belong to a Protestant church promoting or professing these radical beliefs? What do we as Catholics do? Sincere question.
