Lying about your service record, not as a civy, but as someone who served, is inexcusable and gross. Such a blatant and wanton sign of disrespect to those who have earned their valor through bravery. I don’t think it’s ever forgivable. It’s a carnal sin of service.

@_kair0s_ @Codebender_Cate Masons are an amazing org. I was training to be a Master Mason when I left the org (not for bad reasons, personal ones). Grandfather and Great Uncles were/are Masons/Shriners. It’s honestly a very good organization. Some people have their tin foil hats set on “high”.

The certification vouchers are included with my tuition. My teachers are denying me access to the vouchers unless I score 90% or higher on 3 different practice exams and schedule a 30 minute call with them and talk to some other department. I can't afford to get the vouchers on my own. I just wanted to get these exams over with, I'm so fucking exhausted of it all.

On June 2, 2025, Sergeant of the Guard Sgt. 1st Class Andrew Jay took his final walk as a Tomb Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. In a powerful farewell, he laid roses at each crypt of the Unknown Soldiers, then walked off the plaza hand in hand with his 8-year-old son, Finn.

@KirkpatrickMike @DogFaceSoldier As a lower enlisted (fmr.), seeing my leadership beside me in Garrison, shows me they would be beside me in war. Invisible leadership is not leadership at all.

We just won AI Company of the Year, and I’ll be honest - this one hits different. Here’s the thing: every single recognition we get at Caylent comes down to one decision we made early on. We bet everything on building a team of people who can’t help but take things apart to see how they work. The kind of engineers who stay up until 3am because they have to understand why that Lambda cold start is taking 100ms longer than it should. I’ve watched our team ship production GenAI solutions that actually work - not just demos, but systems handling millions of requests. We’re talking RAG implementations that work across hundreds of indexes, fine-tuned small language models running inference at <300ms at tm99, and entire custom agent frameworks that our customers are betting their businesses on. The engineers crushing it in AI right now? They’re the ones who see a new AWS announcement and immediately spin up a proof of concept. They’re building their own LangChain extensions or alternatives because the abstractions don’t quite fit the desired use case. They’re the ones asking: "but what if we tried this completely different approach?" High agency. Relentless curiosity. Systems thinking. That’s the formula. I remain equal parts proud of what we’ve built and humbled by the ridiculous talent on this team. Let us know what you’re building with AI, we are always looking for interesting problems to solve!
Caylent@caylentinc

I used to call piles of mangled cables a "spaghetti party" because you're basically just sitting there trying to untangle a big plate of spaghetti for hours and oftentimes needed the help of several people - hence a "party" I may have accidentally used this phrase in a job application...
