I’m 38 weeks pregnant and still going to networking events. Why am I doing this? (left early bc getting kicked from the inside while smiling on the outside isn’t that easy anymore)

@daskittycat this is a great experience to share. everything i've learned outside uni took me here and i barely remember some of the subjects i had to approve to get the bachelor

if i were in my 20s, i'd never go to the university. in fact, i'll never recommend my son to go to uni. And I'm saying it with 1 bachelor's & 2 master's.

@daskittycat @fullstackmiguel It really depends on the service you’ll be looking for at the centro de saúde. If you are going for the “número de utente” some will probably direct you to do it online and they’ll provide you with the instructions. For family doctor you’ll probably be put in a waitlist.

Portugal isn't a real place, it's a bureaucracy simulation game i pay (a lot of) taxes for public healthcare but got removed from the system for some reason here's what i need to do to get back in: step 1: local municipal office (in person) • bring TWO witnesses to confirm i live here • coordinate adults with jobs to skip work • visit an office with zero parking, only open during work hours submit everything. done? nope. step 2: come back ANOTHER day • pay for the document • pick it up • if you don't return within 30 days, it expires step 3: health center (in person, again) • submit the paper • join a waitlist • maybe get accepted sometime i missed the 30-day window so now: • two witnesses again • skip work again • no-parking office again • submit again • pay again • health center again • waitlist again 30 days ago it was proven i live here today it's a mystery none of this can be done online or by email or by phone in the US this would be 3 clicks on a government portal
