@InsideLucysHead People like you make stories after stories. In reality when get chance to spend some time with practicing Muslims, end up converting to Islam. Keep on spitting venom. You will be very good muslim at the end.

Tough to be Irish...
"What's your name?" asked the teacher.
"Mohammad," he replied.
"You're in Ireland now," replied the teacher, "So from now on you will be known as Mike.
Mohammad returned home after school.
"How was your day, Mohammad?" his mother asked.
"My name is not Mohammad. I'm in Ireland, and now my name is Mike”.
"Are you ashamed of your name? Are you trying to dishonour your parents, your heritage, your religion? Shame on you!"
And his mother beat the shit out of him. Then she called his father, who beat the shit out of him again.
The next day, Mohammad returned to school. The teacher saw all of his fresh bruises.
"What happened to you, Mike?" she asked.
"Well, shortly after becoming an Irishman, I was attacked by two f00king Arabs."

@datfella__ @YoRhage @Son_ImSleep Depends on which field though. And lawyer salaries are often bimodal too.

@bazfreespeech @ReemAmirIbrahim If they worked so hard why do they need pensions?
English

@ReemAmirIbrahim These retired pensioners worked their bollocks off their whole lives. They deserve the money. Why would you shaft them when the stop working aswell. Younger gen have 0 work ethic. They like the scrounger way out.
English

@mess_critical @Sargon_of_Akkad Let's scrap ISAs and SIPPs too then. Let's see how you fair.
Weak af generation that can't cope.
You wish death to your elders. Going toe to toe with Russia cant come soon enough. Be fun watching you getting drone mogged.
English

I suspect people don't realise how extractive the triple lock is on pensions.
The triple lock means the state pension goes up by whichever is highest of:
1. Average earnings growth
2. Inflation as measured by September CPI
3. 2.5% regardless of any other factors.
Inflation is 3.8% and nominal earnings growth is 4.8%, but even if you were flatlining and your earnings didn't outpace inflation, the pensions would still rise.
English

@DrewPavlou @PeteZogoulas Dude, how the fudge is that a death threat?
English

We received this death threat from an Islamic extremist yesterday promising to harm us if we continue investigating NDIS fraud in West Sydney.
@PeteZogoulas

@OrangSonic @orm0nde Imagine working for 54 years and still relying on the government for money
English

@orm0nde My Father worked from 16 till he was 70. He's now 80 and still pays tax on his pension. He is planning to vote Restore. Just a thought, some of the Boomer hate may be slightly over the top.

@TranshumanCyst @CodyLibolt Basically every western country in the world imports labour
English

@datfella__ @CodyLibolt Really, even to this point: Monaco isn't really internally sustainable because it still has to import labor from just outside itself to sustain most of its services and also leverage the mass claims on capital held mostly outside of itself to sustain constant import of outside...
English

@CodyLibolt And they are some of the most horrible and economically unsustainable places in the world to live for the vast majority of their inhabitants. In essence: they are petrostates that fund their government through oil revenues. Most places don't have such a luxury. Also in essence...

@peristalsisgen @FigureWIM @frxddt @homesweethomo If HIV+ retards test so much how come it spreads so much?
English

@FigureWIM @frxddt @homesweethomo I'm not but I'm no bigoted ignorant idiot either.
Someone who is HIV positive gets checked much more frequently than someone who isn't so yes I'd have sex with a HIV+ person who has their viremia under control.
Just disrespectful and disgusting

@UserXAnon47 @FionnJohnOC @Tazhawkeye @Alpaca_Capital $30 isn’t low end for a welder. The median is $24.50
bls.gov/ooh/production…
English

@FionnJohnOC @Tazhawkeye @Alpaca_Capital Clearly you don’t know what you’re talking about with regards to welding, $30 is a low end wage, depending on how many tickets you have, you can make a LOT more than that, not to mention most tradesmen have multiple certifications such as welding, fabrication, electrician, etc
English

How much does it pay? Genuinely asking.
My experience from the US (where I grew up) is people pound the table about skills shortages and when you ask what they’re paying, it’s equivalent to working at Walmart in a no-skill job.

Shipyards desperately need welders, pipefitters, and other skilled workers. But this work is grueling and dangerous. cbsn.ws/4bIyP6O
English

@EndShina @matthewswspence 1/10th the pay this idiots earn 120k USD, they earn is less than 12,000 USD
English

The problem with US shipyards is that they suck at building ships. It’s not a labor shortage, they’re just bad at their jobs. Productivity is super low, you can’t fix that with more workers.

@matthewswspence LOL
US welders are calling rest of the world poor for not making $120k a year for same job.
Wages in US simply make it 3-4x more expensive without accounting for administration and technology.
