The conversation about orbital compute is finally out in the open, and this week we took it to Washington, D.C. Aetherflux was at the Capitol to demonstrate how orbital compute bypasses traditional grid constraints. Politicians are starting to see that space-based infrastructure is the most realistic way to handle this demand, and we’re here to show that the technology is coming much sooner than people think.

ICE sucks. Their tactics are 100% excessively violent + uncessary AND civilians should 100% be smart + protest peacefully + NOT physically engage local, state, federal law enforcement. That is a terrible idea that almost always ends in tragedy 1 person dying is too many 43,000 murdered in Iran also deserves more outrage

further 1 I don't have an issue with ICE. i have an issue with the excessive violence or lethal force of ICE. no need. 2 it was definitively too violent + excessive lethal force from ICE. nothing required guns. even if he had a gun, there were 4+ ICE agents on him with bulletproof vests trained to disarm + disable assailants even shooting in leg OK nothing required lethal force shooting to kill. 3 on protestors: i also dont know why the noise/whistle blowing provocations. it is ONLY going to cause blowback. ICE agents were WRONG to use lethal force but whoever was following ICE agents around and blasting noise in their face/ears is NOT peaceful protest. it is provocation/incitement hoping to get a reaction. be angry. be vocal. protest. but do NOT put yourself in harms way or incite or provoke.

@vkhosla 3D printing has underperformed at scaled production, partly hampered by a massive decrease in capex spending at the exact moment that 3D printing was could have crested the mountain in 2020/2021. Still trekking up. Didn’t get to the top.

Not all of my predictions have been right. In late 2000’s, I believed cellulosic biofuels could replace gasoline and oil at scale. That didn’t happen. I underestimated electric vehicles, assuming a critical mass of charging stations was hard. I underestimated how quickly battery costs would fall. I also underestimated the perseverance of exceptional entrepreneurs like @elonmusk In 2019, I predicted 3D printing would rapidly transform manufacturing. That hasn’t happened either.
