Hadrian CEO, @2112Power, joined @MilkenInstitute to discuss modernizing military power. Rebuilding capacity requires new approaches to manufacturing: combining software, automation, and a workforce model that can scale with demand. It comes down to how fast we can build.

Our team had a great tour of Hadrian’s new $2.4B advanced manufacturing facility that will soon be fueling our warfighters and American military might. It will create 1,000 new local jobs – and generate hundreds of purchase orders for small businesses across northwest Alabama.

Hadrian recently opened Factory 4, a new $2.4B public-private advanced manufacturing facility in Cherokee, Alabama to produce key components for U.S. Navy Columbia- & Virginia-class submarines, combining ~$1.5B in private capital with $900M in government funding. The 2.2M sq. ft. facility is expected to reach full production within 24 months, create up to 1,000 jobs, & accelerate submarine output by automating production & reducing worker training time to ~30 days. It’s official: Hadrian’s Factory of the Future 4 in Cherokee, Alabama is open. Under the leadership of @POTUS and @SECWAR, we heard remarks from @SECNAV, @SenKatieBritt, @SenTuberville, @SenatorWicker, @RepMikeRogersAL, @Robert_Aderholt, and VADM Gaucher. Thank you to the 4,000+ Alabamians who joined us and showed what’s possible when we build in America again. This partnership marks the start of Hadrian, the Navy, and the @DeptofWar’s reindustrialization campaign in support of the President’s Restoring Maritime Dominance EO, Peace Through Strength agenda, and the Golden Fleet.

The work to Reindustrialize America is just beginning, but it will define whether we lead the next century or fall behind. We’re here in Alabama to build. Friday was a proud day for Hadrian, the Navy, and the Shoals community who showed up en masse. Now the real work begins - getting submarines in the water, fast.

That mission to build the next era of production is reflected in Factory 4 itself. Designed by @AlbertKahnAssoc, the facility draws on the legacy of the factories that powered the Arsenal of Democracy, reimagined for the AI age and the submarine fleet.
