I've said this and I repeat it gpt-4 is when we entered AGI, from there on is a thermodynamic problem, or more simply cost, scale, and speed. From there you run a mix of parallel agents with autoresearch, MCTS, CoT, recursion (RLM), tool calls, and the model can already self-improve. Human in the loop still is the optimal solution, but as we move into Mythos and larger models, human in the loop will actually slow them down. My take is that AGI will be officially announced in 2027 as predicted by ai-2027.com. Crazy times to live in!

France just said it out loud: “We can’t depend on foreign tech anymore.” So they’re: • leaving Windows → migrating to Linux • replacing tools with EU alternatives (Tchap, Visio, FranceTransfert) • moving sensitive data to sovereign infrastructure • pushing open standards + interoperability • forcing each ministry to cut foreign dependencies 80,000+ public workers already migrating. Full rollout plans due by late 2026. This isn’t just IT. It’s national strategy. Control the tech → control the data. Big shift. More countries will follow.

Anthropic's Claude Mythos isn't a sentient super-hacker, it's a sales pitch — claims of 'thousands' of severe zero-days rely on just 198 manual reviews tomshardware.com/tech-industry/…

@AddulamCave @nishancodes @tomshardware All those mentioned companies will only benifit from hyping anthropic either directly or indirectly so ya those dosent count. Until it's publically tested and vetted it's useless.

@nishancodes @tomshardware Or is Toms Hardware shit posting? The list of tech leaders wouldn’t have joined Project Glasswing if anthropic’s announcement was a marketing gimmick.

@interminded @tomshardware Nobody is going to expose there codebase to claude bro the most they will do is test it on some of there opensource projects. Anyways time will tell no point in arguing without a proof.

@tomshardware Sure, that’s why all the Big Tech companies lined up to join glasswing, exposing their billion dollar codebases to a third party black box AI with a will of its own. Either they are all wrong, or you are. 🤷‍♀️

@kloss_xyz True and to use ai you actually need to have a understanding of the things you are working on. Good workflow+ domain knowledge makes all the difference

The harsh truth about AI right now: The frontier models don’t make you good. Your actual systems do. Models get replaced every few months. While your workflows, tactics, and methods… those all compound forever. Build model agnostic systems or fall behind every release cycle.

@pubity Llms are prediction models , if you predict your whole work it will definitely suck. Use ai only if you can verify each and every line it changed.

It's been found that roughly 80% of white-collar workers are refusing to adopt AI, finding workarounds to do their work manually instead. Despite big companies spending tens of millions of dollars to deploy AI tech, people are going out of their way not to use it.

Dude its crazy that Chrome took two decades to rolled out vertical tabs even crazier how often big tech is actually slow in shipping most obvious UX improvements in traditional software
Google@Google

Too many @GoogleChrome tabs open? Try vertical tabs, rolling out now. Just right-click any Chrome window and select “Show Tabs Vertically” to move your tabs to the side of the browser window, making it easier to read page titles and manage tab groups.

You're confusing programming (news) with programming (hobby), there's a million channels from people who make videos on their projects rather than whatever new tool is out this week Just a few off the dome: Sebastian Lague, Tsoding, Kaze Emanuar, Jackie Codes, James Lambert, etc
Manware@IAmManware

The programming space absolutely sucks these days. The algorithm heavily rewards AI content over actual coding content. Don't let all this noise and fear paralyze you. Believe in the path of traditional handwritten coding, develop the skills you need to clear interviews and don't forget to take care of yourself.

developing valhalla - h/acc
Programmers are honestly very frequently very dumb, and even more frequently very dumb outside of their niche. They are exalted as gods because society has created gods out of anyone who has any technical knowledge. The average dev might be one or two standard deviations above average intelligence, but not much more. This is why we should not assume tech gods should run society, because they are far from the Platonic ideal philosopher kings that they want you to see them as.
Schinsly@schinsly

@valhalla_dev the unfortunate thing is, a lot of these single-digit braincell-ers are actually programmers
