It's well past time the Dems clean house. We cannot allow ghouls like this to define the party or hold any influence in our media and politics. There must be red lines. #Israel #Lebanon #Democrats

PBS News Hour full episode, April 3, 2026 youtu.be/1Wlc6gkE5Gw?si… via @YouTube Watch this from 25:10 or so. It's the report on Palestinians and settler-terrorism. It's absurd how violent Jewish terrorists are simply ignored in "Western media".

@disabledwonk @ryangrim It’s the rise of vindictive liberalism and I genuinely hope we follow through like we’re doing now with Trump. Let him do his worst and let the people steep in the suffering of what they caused. Gamblers are bottom of the list for sure

One of these degenerate gambling companies famously offered Hasan Piker a minimum million bucks for an ad on his stream and he turned it down. That alone is threatening to the corporate class that still controls the husk of the Democratic Party. But not for long. Enjoy your payday for now

@disabledwonk @ryangrim It’s not a public issue whatsoever, you just WANT it to be a public issue. There’s no impact to any of our lives that Joe down the street fucked his family over by gambling away their savings. Not our problem.

The smartest play is just to release her. If you're a fringe radical group, taking journalists hostage means they won't ask your opinions in the future. It's a self-defeating strategy.

There's zero legitimacy from taking journalists hostage. These groups are just ruining their own credibility. Her colleagues will be vocal, but its not like they can threaten a government with a freelancer. All they've done is look ugly and stupid.

There’s something unspeakably creepy about all the right-wing accounts, whether official US government or merely ‘aligned,’ using the same Good Friday “it’s finished” imagery, coupled with the emphasis on “sacrifice for all humanity” — in conjunction with expected Iran War escalation. I’ve been unusually silent the past few weeks, not because I have no analysis to offer, but because I’m hesitant to disclose what will likely come off as conspiratorial or doomer. But given all the related news emerging, I might actually go there quite soon.

@MsEntropy Yeah, as a non-Christian that feels ominous at best. I can't help but remember the kids who assaulted me claiming it was their "duty", and the adults who whitewashed their abuse.

@SarHandicrapper @esjesjesj That's just as foolish. US Covid restrictions were often comically loose, reflecting the fact that most Americans would ignore stricter regulations. The deranged conspiracy theories are all about cheap emotional reasoning from fools.

@ryangrim Taking down a healthy tree for "the view" or to expand a pool is not defensible. We need trees. A sapling or whatever is fine. But no one should cut down established trees without good reason. We need them ecologically, even in the suburbs.

@ryangrim Sometimes old trees need to be taken down. It happens. There's a large red oak in our backyard that, if it wasn't healthy, could threaten the house. But cutting down healthy trees? Not justifiable in usual yardwork.

Stephanie lives a few neighborhoods away from me in DC and there’s a wild story of her becoming the village villain by cutting down some massive beloved ancient tree so she could improve her view. Anybody know the full story?

@AnalyticaCamil1 Israel and the UAE, two of the worst actors in the modern world, are angry at France. I think the sale of French mil-tech will probably rise rather than decline after this. Plenty of states dislike both actors and their toxic foreign policies.

“Treachery”, and it’s just the French government pointing out that striking a nuclear threshold state with 90 million people and open trade lanes to both Russia and China is retarded actually. Also, didn’t see you bring up this “treachery”

Israel had already announced it will no longer sell its high-tech defense and military hardware to France, and now UAE announces it's not funding the new French fighter jet. Good for Israel and UAE on their proper responses to President Macron's treachery in supporting Hamas and Islamic regime of Iran.

The Emirates abandon France on the Rafale F5 and leave a €5 billion hole. This is a real setback for France, and not just financially. The Emirates are withdrawing from the Rafale F5 program, and as a result, Paris finds itself financing alone a project costing around €5 billion for this version alone. #France #Iran

He was arguing against annexing additional territory with large Arab populations. In that context, he referenced the Deir Yassin massacre, which he publicly condemned at the time, as an example of how fear and panic contributed to the Arab exodus. He even sent a letter expressing condemnation and apology to King Abdullah I. His point was explicit: "Deir Yassin is not our program", a rejection of any notion that such actions should represent official policy.
