Allow us to reintroduce ourselves… The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is @NASA’s next space observatory, set to launch as early as fall 2026. Named after NASA’s first chief astronomer, #NASARoman will have a field of view at least 100 times larger than @NASAHubble. This field of view will help us better understand many cosmic mysteries including dark matter and dark energy. It will revolutionize our understanding of the universe by revealing countless cosmic objects, from stars and planets to galaxies and black holes. The telescope will be heading a million miles away to Lagrange point 2 along with fellow telescope, @NASAWebb. Check out nasa.gov/roman to stay up to date on the mission!

Roman’s ready to soak up the Sun! ☀️ #ICYMI: The solar panels have been installed on our Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. Roman is on schedule for launch by May 2027, with the team aiming for as early as fall 2026. 🔗 go.nasa.gov/44DVS0l

LISSen up, folks! Technicians installed Roman's Lower Instrument Sun Shade, or LISS, which consists of two deployable panels that will shade the lower observatory from sunlight. Learn more: go.nasa.gov/3U4zhnB

The inner portion of @NASA's Roman Space Telescope is currently undergoing thermal vacuum testing at @NASAGoddard. For the next two months, Roman’s hardware will be subjected to extreme temperature and pressure conditions similar to what it will experience in space.
