Builder. Thinker. I respect people who fail at least they tried.

hot take - consistency is massively overrated. millions wake up early, work hard, learn skills, stay disciplined for YEARS - and still get nothing. zero. success is not distributed by effort. It’s distributed by timing, access, exposure, and a LOT of luck. we keep saying "just be consistent" because it sounds nice. and shifts blame to the person when things don’t work. if you’ve been doing “everything right” and still feel behind - you are not a failure. sometimes life just hasn’t opened the door yet. just don’t tie your self-worth to outcomes. take rest without guilt. change direction if something clearly isn’t working. just stay in the game.

This is an excellent letter. Worth reading the whole thing, but here's some excerpts: - AI data center investment accounted for over 90% of U.S. GDP growth in the first half of 2025 - A third of American teens use AI not just for homework but for companionship, with another third choosing AI over humans for serious conversations - Compute used to train AI models has grown 5x per year for 15 years - India's UPI processes nearly half of the world's real-time digital payments - Themes for the year: Pluralism, Marginalia and Unreasonable optimism - London as the best pre-AGI and post-AGI city - We're so wildly early! zhengdongwang.com/2025/12/30/202…

What are your predictions for AI in 2026?
