JUST IN:
Governor Otti moved Abia’s debt profile from ₦191.2 billion to ₦48.4 billion by paying a staggering sum of ₦142 billion in less than 3 years in office, yet with all the work he’s doing, he hasn’t borrowed a dime.
Good governance is not rocket science. You either know what you are doing, or you are busy stealing and lying.

If Obi + Kwankwaso emerge as the ADC candidate, it changes the electoral math in a way the APC would struggle to contain.
Here’s why:
Both Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso are not just candidates; they are movements.
Obi commands the Obidients: decentralized, digital first, youth driven, cutting across regions
Kwankwaso commands Kwankwasiyya:
disciplined, grassroots heavy, deeply rooted in the North (especially Kano and surrounding states).
Individually, they disrupt.
Together, they bridge Nigeria’s biggest political fault lines.
South + North
Urban youth + traditional grassroots
Digital energy + physical structure
That combination is multiplicative.
For the APC, this is a nightmare scenario.
Why?
Because their 2023 pathway relied heavily on splitting the opposition vote across regions and demographics.
An Obi–Kwankwaso ticket collapses that fragmentation.
Now compare that to Atiku Abubakar:
Atiku is a known quantity.
His political style is:
Elite driven
Coalitionbased (not movement based)
Dependent on negotiated structures rather than organic energy.
That makes him predictable and easier to counter.
More importantly, he doesn’t command the same level of:
Youth enthusiasm
First time voter activation
Cross regional emotional investment
In simple terms:
APC vs Atiku = Traditional battle
APC vs Obi + Kwankwaso = System shock.
One is a fight they’ve prepared for before.
The other is a coalition that rewrites the rules mid game.
That’s why, strategically, the APC would rather face Atiku.
Because movements are harder to defeat than politicians.

Arsenal could legit be favourites in a UCL semi final and have the league wrapped up in less than a week

Only one Premier League midfielder (Szoboszlai) has played more minutes in all comps than Martin Zubimendi. The Spaniard is exhausted and his performance levels have plummeted. Arteta's refusal to use Christian Norgaard points to a failure of recruitment.
