@jondelarroz Read the ratings and weep, Kurtzman. If the rumors are true, it cost around $250 PER FAN to produce a season of Academy. Even if it's HALF that, it's a train-wreck, financially. (Rumored #'s are ~ $10M per episode with ~40,000 viewers per episode)
New update on Alex Kurtzman and Paramount Star Trek from my insider:
Kurtzman's contract is likely going to court. Not arbitration, but full-blown litigation. The only thing Secret Hideout and Skydance agree on is Secret Hideout won't make any more Trek.
Things have turned very toxic. Paramount is refusing to pay him his balloon payments. Kurtzman won't surrender the rights, and Paramount wants to announce United ASAP.
What do you make of this?
@Charles_Root@jondelarroz It seems the contract is so ridiculously lop-sided towards Kurtzman because Moonves didn't GAF about Trek and might even have rigged it against Paramount/CBS on his way out. Tachyon Pulse youtube channel has some decent updates about all this as well.
@InterstellarUAP Don't worry about Christians. Worry about the ones where they go on killing a spree when their "main guy" is drawn or otherwise depicted in an illustration/image.
Rep. Tim Burchett reveals the White House warned him the truth about UFOs & ALIENS could be “anti-Christian” & would shake religion to its core 🛸👽🇺🇸
He fired back: “No, it isn’t. Genesis 1, God created the heavens and the earth.”
What exactly are they afraid we’ll learn?
Would full UFO disclosure challenge your faith… or show God’s creation is far bigger than we ever imagined?

@Bundy3113@PleasantlySurly@Real_Ames Good to know. I wish they did that for me on the way to work. It's seldom worth going inside for an order of hash browns in a bad part of town.
@marks4774@PleasantlySurly@Real_Ames What? Yes you can. I've ordered many times from Whataburger app and picked up drive-thru. There are certain times when they won't let you do that, but it's an option plenty.
A Deaf customer pulls up to a Wendy’s drive-thru… with her order already typed out on her phone.
She holds it up to the worker.
All they had to do… was read it.
Instead? Refused. Told her to come inside. Attitude and all.
No patience. No effort. No basic decency.
This isn’t complicated. This is accessibility. This is literally what the ADA is about.
It would’ve taken 5 seconds to treat someone like a human being.
Do better.
@Huldra_Nix@Real_Ames Did you LOOK at the video? The APP is UP on the phone. Ignore the text on the video. It's the receipt screen in the app, not a "message".
@dan_danmcc1@Real_Ames What's the Wendy's policy on app/drive-through orders? At Whataburger, I can't come to the drive-through to pick up an app order where I live. She had the Wendy's APP up, not a written order...
@Real_Ames That's discrimination. There is a civil case there. A deaf person should not be treated differently to a hearing person. Mind you the worker, may be blind. Just kidding. That is pretty bad stuff. If the service could not read, they could at least ask another to do so.
@PleasantlySurly@Real_Ames I know that at Whataburger, I can't order via the app (which she clearly has here, despite the text on the video.) and pick up at the drive-through. Is Wendy's the same?
@AaireVoltaire@BradRTorgersen@Shuttlecock The estimates I've heard over and over again lands somewhere around $20 million per series. Maybe a lot, maybe not. Depends who's writing the checks. They're afraid the home video market is too dead to sink that money into 20-30 year-old series.
If Paramount was smart, they’d commission HD remasters of Deep Space Nine and Voyager and release the episodes in broadcast order on a weekly basis
They’d get fresh content to keep P+ subscribers engaged for years while also reengaging the Star Trek fanbase.
Win-win. #StarTrek
