His reputation as the “Dragon of the West” was earned, not inherited. Ozai’s reputation was tied to his title as Fire Lord. Iroh chose a path of peace and never fought at full strength in the show. When he did (like his one-man prison break) he casually overwhelmed trained soldiers with ease, suggesting enormous untapped power. Ozai was a gifted, powerful bender but Iroh was a genius who expanded what firebending could even be.

@wwarrior_1 A lot of speculation is that it was Aaron Ehasz who helped keep the original series in check. After he left, the other two did whatever they wanted. Similar to when Neil Cuckman wrote Last of Us but Bruce Straley directed it.

@Scrapnic @munkimoder Some are very important, even foods. For example, shellfish allergies often mean Iodine allergies. And Iodine is used for any surgery where contrast material is used. Could be fatal if left unmentioned
