BIP-361 to freeze quantum vulnerable wallets: Yes. The alternative is price dipping to near 0. That would be bad for Bitcoin’s reputation. If not freezing: - Say you know that half a million BTC will be market dumped tomorrow. - What will you do today? You will sell today, to re-buy tomorrow at a fraction of the price. - So will everyone else. - Will anyone buy today? No. - So there is little or no floor. - Price will wick down to “impossible” levels. - Then repeat it again a few days later, for a total of 2 million btc. - Oh price will hit near zero. The argument to not freeze, is to completely f over Wall Street, Saylor, treasuries, and everyone else and start again from basically zero.

I find it really funny that people are raging against the proposal to freeze quantum vulnerable addresses. You’re tilting at windmills, friend. If a QC materializes then It’s going to happen. You can’t stop it. Basic game theory. The fork without the giant quantum bonanza is the more valuable fork, and it is the one that will be chosen by capital, and therefore miners. Your little node and your 2 $BTC on a Seedsigner are very much irrelevant. $MSTR, $IBIT, $MSBT et al. will signal before any hardfork is activated and all intelligent capital will follow them. 10M+ quantum-vulnerable $BTC will hit the market in a day. And it will be ever so over for you. I’m sorry. You may not like this. But it’s inevitable. Cry about it.

@Michaelfiore Nope. Lived in a rental in inner PDX a decade ago and this happened to a 20 yard long section of these things. It’s a root disease issue.

This is damage from deer eating the leaves. The well-defined line is called the “browse line”. They can’t comfortably reach above that line. You can see they ate the tender leaves and left the brown stems behind. This person should remove the lower branches completely and plant something deer proof underneath.

Richard "Beebo" Russell (1989 - 2018) In August 2018, Richard “Beebo” Russell, a 29-year-old ground service agent at Seattle Airport, using his ground clearance, he got into the cockpit of a Horizon Air Q400 aircraft. Even though he had never operated an aircraft before, he managed to start the plane, taxi it onto the runway, and take off. For about 75 minutes, he flew around the Puget Sound area while talking calmly with air traffic control. He kept the plane over open water and unpopulated areas, never meaning to harm others. To the dismay of everyone watching, the untrained Russell performed a successful backflip coming only several feet from the water. Richard refused attempts to guide him to a safe landing, he had made up his mind. The flight ended when the plane crashed on Ketron Island, killing him. No one else was harmed.

For the people that train BJJ What move is this?

@chrismwojcik Most ppl assume this suggestion means sacrificing mat time for lifting. Some ppl have x number of hrs TOTAL to throw at this a week. Hypothetically, if you have 8 hrs a week (tops) to throw at your BJJ game, would you trim mat time for lifting? Genuine question.

Based on my post yesterday on lifting for Jiu-Jitsu, the number of people who think NOT lifting weights really helps them reach their full potential is wild to me. Really thought the idea that "strength training makes you better at sports" would be uncontroversial 😂 Combat sports are still in the stone ages.
