NEW: Florida teacher arrested after police found a mixture of fentanyl and cocaine in his backpack. 44-year-old Christopher D. Toukonen of Lely High School was arrested after school administrators were told that he was allegedly using drugs in his classroom. Toukonen has been booked into jail on felony charges. "Upon learning of the arrest, Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) immediately removed the employee from the classroom and initiated the termination process," Lely High School principal Jen Bledsoe said. I have now been a resident of Saskatchewan since Friday night and am loving it! I am 1 hour out of Saskatoon in a little town. This town is clean, no addicts or homeless. People don't lock their doors (I will). People say hi on the street and in stores they automatically bag your stuff and ask you if you need help out in the grocery story. I saw a high school class out in the field picking up garbage! Leaving BC was the best decision of my life. I start work with Sask Health on Monday and already they are super easy going and nice to speak with.

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death. Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty." Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed. "Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month. Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.
