The last year has been an amazing one for Laravel, but also a tough one for our family. On Sunday night my mom passed away after a private, 10 month battle with Glioblastoma - an aggressive form of brain cancer for which there are no known long-term curative treatments. She was a wonderful mom and one of Laravel’s biggest fans. ❤️

@PovilasKorop Spark I think just an oversight - thought it will become open source soon. Envoyer is more of a legacy product and people should use Cloud or Forge for deployments. Forge will soon have zero downtime deployments built in.

Just noticed: on the new homepage, they don't mention Laravel Spark anywhere anymore. So, does it mean..?

We will be releasing Laravel 12 on Monday. This is primarily a maintenance focused release that updates upstream dependencies and has minimal breaking changes or major few features. Because of that, the vast majority of applications will be able to upgrade with no changes to your application's code. 🚀 As more and more applications are built with Laravel, we're focusing on shipping new features continually throughout the year without breaking changes, with our yearly releases being utilized to update dependencies or address new PHP version compatibility. The main focus next week will be: - Laravel Cloud - New Laravel Starter Kits - New Laravel Website - Laravel VS Code Extension's Stable Release It's going to be an amazing week for Laravel and PHP. 🤘
