@LawDogStrikes Tough one.
While Star Wars is cool.
I can’t play the d20 version, d6 or Genesys (narrative dice) preferred.

What’s more important to you, the setting or the system in an RPG?

Nathan Fillion explains why the animated series is set between the TV show and Serenity.
"You can’t bring back Firefly without bringing back all of Firefly. We toyed with the idea of spending some time in the show after the events of Serenity, and I honestly have no interest. I think Serenity was our wonderful farewell to what was an incredible opportunity. Had we only had one more chance to do something, that was it, and it was beautiful. I can’t compete with that.
But what I can do is go back in time, bring the gang back together, and give people what they want, which is more Firefly. After Serenity, it’s not the same. I didn’t want to do this without my buddy Alan. And you know that’s a reason why animation is key, because Ron Glass is no longer with us. I like to think, in my heart of hearts, that this is something that he would have wanted."
Is this the right thinking?

@nugbonuggs @Nobleshield Irk. I really disliked the storyteller wave.
The drama… and drama school dropouts/wannabes.
I do like character role play though over dungeon/wilderness bashing
English

@Nobleshield Find the right old school dm or gm and you can still experience it. We are all the old wizard looking white haired dudes. The storyteller system kind of screwed up the scene for awhile making everyone think story trumps pc free will. Hint the PC's are the story.

@eroc0303 @BlackDragonCan Awesome. Living the dream. (non sarcastically)
Twitter D&D space has been annoying me. Everyone seems so rigid. bugs me.
I was more into other systems anyway. They dont provoke such discourses for some reason!
English

@randomcodingdud @BlackDragonCan Exactly. I'm good! You?
I have been posting a lot of items in the Dungeons & Dragons community here on X

How to succinctly put the difference between story focused gaming and sandbox style gaming?
Mercer gives the example of wanting the party to touch an item and have a vision, so if they avoid the encounter he would have them feel a tugging to draw them back in.
That's it

DM advice that so thoroughly ruined an entire generation of D&D that the company is slowly discontinuing their own product. It's taken years for new gamers to shake off their stupor, and they might not fully recover. #dnd

@eroc0303 @BlackDragonCan This.
Why make it that it has to be touched.
That’s just risking being missed.
Anyway. How ya doin
English

@BlackDragonCan The vision that "needs" to be seen happens when they enter the chamber. I don't make the characters do anything. I certainly don't expect them to do something; that never works! 😆 🤷🏻♂️ old-school tabletop AD&D D&D

Dont fall for it my Gen X brothers and sisters
English

@disco___cat Only coz I was mostly a teen with no responsibilities.
But I had no money and that sucked. Had a recession and jobs were hard to come by.
So… not really.
Great memories though

@francryptofit My dad did.
Was with her until he passed away.
It was his only successful marriage (number 3)
