You guys have very thin hair to begin with, to put it in braids youre damaging it more than you think. People of my background can do braids without having the issues you ran into, we do it often.

@AppyOrtho I got my hair braided in Jamaica a few years ago. Looked really cute! Left them in for about a week and I had mold in my hair when I took them out. So gross! The braids were so tight that the hair couldn’t dry, hence the mold. Dreds take YEARS to grow.
