@NepentheZ It far too easy to score how many games have 8 and 9 goals! It needs to go back to being a sim, where you need to work to score and the ability to abuse the system is taken away

It certainly has a way back, it just needs a full rebuild. Game modes that are meaningful, progression systems that are meaningful, a "play when I want, not when I have too" reward structure and more importantly...

I appreciate the honesty, but 😭 it does feel like a lot of time has been lost just to reach this point.
I think when he was appointed, the job may have come too early in his career. The scale of the club and the lack of top-level experience always made it a huge challenge. That said, after 14 months, you’d hope he’s learned, grown, and that we can finally start to kick on.
It sounds like he has undergone some serious self-reflection, and I respect how open he’s been about that. It sounds like he’s now started to fully realised the level of pressure, expectations, and values that come with this club.
Also, he's probably realised that he will need A LOT of money & transfer windows for his ideal squad to work ...

These thoughts are purely based on the comp below (I haven’t watched Lammens before). He seems to:
- predict shooting direction pretty well -> makes saves look easier
- use his feet and legs well to block
- get down low very easily
- close angles pretty decently (could work on near post though)
However:
- his lack of dominance on set pieces is concerning -> seems to shape to come to claim and then retreat (gets caught in no man’s land, doesn’t get properly set)
- also on crosses from general play, tends to stick on his goal line -> increasing the margin of safety for an attacker to cross into (bad for defending team as it provides the attacker more space to deliver into)
Will comment more once I’ve watched more and seen different types of clips.
